Masks, Gas, Russian
Assembled in the U.S. from Russian parts, anyway. What we have here is a gas mask for children, although frankly, the smallest of them are really more Yorkshire-terrier sized. New, but surplus, and while they're rated NBC for nuclear/biological/chemical contaminants, they carry absolutely no guarantees. These are to be used as part of a collection, or for costume/novelty purposes. These adult masks come with an integrated, screw-on filter canister, carrying pouch, and (6) plastic eye-lens covers. The medium ones are for adults with a facial circumference (measure around the crown of the head and under the chin) between 25” and 25-3/4”.

Authentic Government Hemp
Own a large coil of World War II-era tent rope. We know it's real army surplus from the military warehouse aura that surrounds it. This is genuine 1/8" dia hemp rope manufactured for the U.S. Army by the Burnham Co., of Gloucester, Mass. You'll get approx 400 feet of it.

Rubber Dutchie
When you need to keep your powder dry, you'll wish you had this army-green rubberized bag from the Dutch military. Measures 12" tall x 14" wide x 5" deep, with tri-fold top flaps for extra waterproofing and heavy-duty embedded feet on the bottom corners. No carrying straps, but it has plastic buckles on the back and sides to add them. Easy conversion to a messenger bag or a pair of panniers.

Civil Defense Steel Pot
What every well-dressed WWII-era American Civil Defense worker was wearing. In a lightly speckled cream/tan color, the steel helmet is a 13" x 11" oval around the rim with a 9" x 7-1/2" ID, adjustable canvas straps inside it, and a chin strap. Sits approx 6" tall on the head. Yours might even have a few authentic Civil Defense rust spots at no extra charge.

Uncle Sam's Latrine! For Two!
Our very first two-passenger military-surplus field latrine! Relive those golden moments spent sitting over a slit trench in the woods with a friend. This new (no need to thank us) genuine WWII-era U.S. Army wooden latrine is painted olive drab, weighs 37 lbs, and measures 41" long x 17" x 19-1/2" high. The 18" x 14" flip-up lids are over a pair of toilet-seat-shaped openings above the open bottom. Folds flat for storage and transport. All you add is the trench. We're thinking storage bench/conversation piece for the front hall or mud room.

Bolshevik Buttons
Add the glitter of bright, brass-tone aluminum buttons, 9/16" dia, to tops, jeans, purses, backpacks. The buttons are new and convex, with a stationary 1/8" sewing loop on the back, and an embossed star and small hammer and sickle design on the front. All right, so they were from the Soviet military (circa late 1970s). The design is very discreet. And we weren't the ones who had to tear down a wall, so you can consider these the spoils of a cold war. (Lots and lots of spoils. Left-leaning artists who want to cover a giant canvas or Soviet statue with them should call for a volume discount.)

Eine Kleine Emergency Beacon
This emergency beacon is retired from the West German army where it was one of the breakdown lights carried by army trucks in convoy, but if you buy it (5) standard D-Cell batteries it will go right back to work. The pivoting lens switches between steady-on white, off, and flashing amber modes. Stands just under 8" tall, with a 4-3/8" dia, 10-sided, orange-and-white plastic body, and a rubber base. Also has (2) 3/8" dia pegs to which you could attach a strap if you made one.

Raindrop Camo Bag
Carrying a state secret? Or a knockwurst sandwich? You can hide either in a Deutsche Armee bag in the olive-drab raindrop camouflage pattern--at least during a German rainstorm. This large bag is 11" x 12" x 5" with (3) rubberized straps, a top handle, buckle closures, and set of hooks and loops on the top and bottom so you can stack them or use them as panniers. Heavy canvas. Interesting look.

It's "The Hymnal" for U.S. Army and Navy services, and it looks brand new to us, or perhaps only sung from by a little old PFC on Sundays. From the United States Government Printing Office, 1942 (with an A.S. Barnes & Co. 1941 copyright). In a military drab-brown hardcover, the 607 pages include prayers and services for Protestant, Catholic and Jewish troops, plus over 400 pages of hymns, with words and 2-stave music.

Dutch Drawers
Netherlands netherwear, or long Dutch underdrawers, for when the wind blows off the Zuider Zee, but just as effective here in the US of A. These are olive drab modacrylic fabric, nice and soft with fleece-like insides, the better to pamper your more tender parts, with an elastic waist, fly front, and loose cut. They’re new surplus, untouched by Dutch posteriors, and direct from the Dutch army. XL, 38”-40” long from waist to ankle, with a waist that stretches from 34”-40”.

Have A Balaclava
You pick either the beige or black polypropylene balaclava, 13" crown to collar, fleece-lined and somewhat stretchable for you bigheads, with a single (also stretchable) 3"-4" face opening. Think ski mask. Not to be confused with baklava, which is much too sticky to wear on your head.
