Tanks A Lot
WARNING: CHOKING HAZARD-Small Parts. Not for children under 3 yrs.
Well, a pair, but that's a lot in the tank biz. This very cool kit has translucent green plastic frames, pre-wired circuit boards and motor harnesses, and the result, despite the kit's misleading Titan Tank name, is TWO 5" square x 3" tall wireless remote-control tanks (with separate controllers) that fire invisible infrared bullets at each other, and reverse direction when hit. Plus, they light up and make tank noises. Each controller has (4) channels, so if you buy (2) sets of (2), everybody can play. Each tank will take (8) "AA" batteries that you'll supply, but remember that they light up and shoot rays and make noise and move around, so you're getting a lot of bang for your battery. Includes a 15pp manual and circuit boards that are already assembled, so anyone with a steady hand from, say, a nine-year-old to a WWII tank commander, should be able to assemble them.

Treat With Heat
Start with one naked wire or a number of them, and a piece of our clever tubing, and end up with nice, tightly covered wire. For the specific diameters below, our each is a package of (10) 12" pieces of heat-shrink tubing. For an assortment of sizes, our each is a dozen pieces of 4" long tubing. You'll get (4) pieces each in 1/8", 1/4" and 1/2" diameters. All sizes are black. All will shrink to trim diameters half their current size when heated to 125°C/257°F. If only it worked on waistlines.

And rock off, with this snap-fit SPST rocker switch from Gardner-Bender. Rated for up to 20A at 125VAC and 10A at 277VAC. Measures 1-1/2" x 13/16" x 1-5/8" deep, counting the quick-disconnect terminals. UL/CSA.

Plenty Big Caster
For carrying plenty of weight. This is a heavy-duty, solid, hard-rubber caster with a 3" dia x 2" wide wheel and a 7/16" dia axle. It's on a 4-1/8" x 3-1/8" steel plate with 5/16" mounting holes at the corners. Good for 300 lbs easy. Used, so the wheel might be a little scuffed. This is a single caster, remember, so order the number you need.

Battery Pack
Handyman special. You pick a battery holder to fit your project. The D-cell holder is an enclosed hard black-plastic case, 2-3/4" x 6-1/4" x 1-5/8" with space inside for (4) "D"s, designed to give 6V output via a 30" long cord with a 1/8" miniplug. (Originally made to power a tabletop fountain.) The C-cell holder is an open-top white-plastic tray, 2-1/8" x 4-1/4", into which you snap (4) "C"s for 6V output. Attached with a short lead is a 1" square box with a 1/8" jack and a slide-switch to control the power.

Steel Wheels
And very little-red-wagonish wheels at that (especially if your wagon is very heavy and very well made). Red painted-steel hubs, solid black-rubber tires. Measure 7" dia with 5/8" ID axle bearings. The tire treads measure just under 1-3/4" wide. Should take a 150-200 lb load apiece.

The Old Switcheroo
Pick from our selection of old standards, all from Gardner-Bender®. The pull-chain switch is rated for 3A at 125VAC and measures 1" x just over 3/4" x 5/8" and comes with 6" leads, 2-1/4" of ball chain, and approx 6 feet of cord. Mounting dia is 13/32". The rotary switch is an SPTT rated for up to 6A at 125VAC for both of the loads it can switch. Measures 1" x 7/8" x 3/8" with a 5/8" x 3/8" dia double flattened shaft. The push button switch is a latching (push on/push off) SPST push-button rated for up to 10A at 125VAC and 4A at 250VAC. Measures 1" x 5/8" x 1/2" deep and comes with mounting hardware and 5-1/2" leads. 1/3HP Max. All are UL/CSA.

Piezzzzzzzzzzzzzzo
Small, but annoying, piezo buzzer. Measures 7/8" dia x 3/4" high with two 3" leads. Draws a diminutive 0.40mA at 3VDC, with a frequency of approx 8KHz. The high-pitched buzzer works well for science fair projects. You get (2), for twice the buzz.
