Lilliputian Poles
Okay, they're sticks. They're paper, 5-1/2" long and rolled to 3-16" dia. And they were meant to be lollipop sticks. But does this mean you can't use them to mix adhesives or model paints, or as miniature flag poles, or to remove earwax from large mammals, or to build a palisade for history class? No, sirree, not at A.S.&S.!

Piggy-Bag
A nice bag for a big sandwich or a monster-sized handful of snacks. It not only has an easy-to-close zipper tab -- it sports this month's best slogan: "SHOP THE PIG!" The Piggly Wiggly surplus bag is 9-3/4" x 8-1/2" x .00175" thick, with no gusset. It feels about as heavy as good zipper-locked bag and is heavier than most deli bags. Clear plastic, except for a few graphics on one side.

In Dish
We admit to being old fashioned and believing that food should not be served in a plastic basket. Therefore we consider these items best suited to tiny loads of laundry, carrying summer drinks to the patio set and holding the day's mail for Suzy to come home. However we are often told we are out of it. So you in the "In crowd" will doubtless prefer to serve your barbeque and picnic fare in (on?), okay, with a set of these dudes. The small rectangular is (7-3/4" x 10-3/4") and is white. The oval's are a small (6" x 9-1/4") it being yellow. All have slightly sloped sides and an inside depth of nearly 1-1/2". The bottoms are solid and the sides punched out as "baskets."

A Window Box...
but not the kind with petunias in it. This 3-1/2" x 2-3/4" x 1-1/8" snap-hinged box has a 2-3/16" x 1-1-7/8" clear-plastic window in the lid. It's textured black with a delicate sliver-tone accent outside, removable dark-blue velvet inside. The velvet has a subtle 1-1/4" dia depression lined with a satin ribbon, a little large for a quarter but sized to hold a collectible coin. Classy looking. Inverted Lid
We suspect this clear plastic bathtub shaped "bowl" was made as the lid for some horrible airplane food dish. It is very light weight, flimsy even, 5-1/4" long x 2-3/4" wide 1-3/16" deep. Hold frog parts in it in biology. Mix craft glop in it. Hold sequins while sewing, or watch parts while seeking the source of ticking. Great to cover one large stalk of celery stuffed with cream cheese and placed on a dish of your choosing.

Padded Pouch
Protect your car insurance and registration papers in this padded vinyl, black zippered pouch. That's probably the intended use since it has Grand Am stamped on the front. Colore a tempera, blu di cobalto imit. Plakat tempera, kobaltblau imit. Gouache, blue de cobalt imit. A paint by any other name will look the same - in this case, blue. This 60ml tube of good quality #230 tempera is made in Italy by Maimeri & Co. Similar but much smaller (18ml) tubes are retailing for $7.50. Buy one of those and you'll really be blue.

Tempera Cakes
Not Tempura, tempera. Color things Dark Green or Burnt Sienna (sort of dark brick red) but don't eat these 1-7/8" sq x 3/8" thick, 2 oz cakes of dry paint. From Weber-Costello, they are called "Biggie" and sell for $2.00 in the big boys' catalogs. Don't you love surplus??
