It's textured black with a delicate sliver-tone accent outside, removable dark-blue velvet inside. The velvet has a subtle 1-1/4" dia depression lined with a satin ribbon, a little large for a quarter but sized to hold a collectible coin. Classy looking. Tempera Cakes
Not Tempura, tempera. Color things Dark Green or Burnt Sienna (sort of dark brick red) but don't eat these 1-7/8" sq x 3/8" thick, 2 oz cakes of dry paint. From Weber-Costello, they are called "Biggie" and sell for $2.00 in the big boys' catalogs. Don't you love surplus??
