All are light–colored, all have a couple of 3/8” dia holes near the top. For a nice down–home country look, hang your plaque by the 20” to 35” lengths of twine threaded through the holes. For a classy look, apply a faux metal finish, drill (2) more holes, and mount it with brass screws. Perfect for whatever message you want to send.

Does anyone need to be told what a Slinky(tm) toy is?? Okay, it is a very slack spring, 2-7/8" dia x 2-1/2" long, compressed. It will stretch out to about 5 or 6 feet long without deforming. That's the boring part. The interesting part is that it "follows" itself. Slosh it from hand to hand. Put in on the top step of stairs, flip the end down a step, and watch it walk down stairs, or down an incline. Believe us, no childhood (or adulthood) is complete without an original stainless steel Slinky(tm). It was hard for us to find it, but we are glad we did. You should be too.

And we did it ourselves with this handy self-healing cutting mat. The hard rubber cutting mat is self-healing and no, we don't know how it does that. It's 11-3/4" x 8-3/4" x 1/8" thick, marked with 1/8" and 5mm increments and 1/2" squares, and lines for 45° and 60° cuts.

The Driest Rocks On Earth

Tektites, called glass rocks, are formed when meteorites from outer space crash into our home planet and, by Jupiter, no rock collection is complete without one! The driest of all rocks, tektites are black to olive-green, and average less than .005% water. These samples will be roughly 1/2" to 1-1/4", and you'll get (2) to (4) of them, depending upon their size.
