The instructions recommend this kit for experimenters nine years old and up, with adult supervision. Wernerite and fossil algae. All are very interesting, and a few colors really pop under ordinary blacklight -- but we have to admit that today's fluorescent paints and laser shows have spoiled us for the more subtle glow of a rock. Buy these for their educational value, not their dramatic display.
