9-In-1 Optical Transformer
For ages 8 and up, this "Optic Center" toy from TeleScience® snaps apart and unfolds for (9) separate optical uses. Look and learn with binoculars, a compass, magnifying glass, stereoscope, monocular, signal mirror, linen tester, mini-flashlight (you add a "AAA" battery) and a whistle. Has a pair of 2-5/8" dia lenses and another pair at 1-1/4" dia, a focus adjustment, and a lanyard to carry it around. Lotta basic optical fun for five bucks.

Our battery-operated display base is 3-3/4" dia x 1-7/8" tall, with a black rubber and plastic outer surface and a top surface that's a mirror with (4) colored LEDs in the center. Turn it on and the LEDs sequence through a random pattern and light up your award, cocktail, crystal sculpture, or anything else you put on it. The circumference has a lightly patterned, tire-like rubber ring, which is removable. Why the bargain? That "batteries included" should read "dead batteries included." You'll need to add (3) "AAA"s.
