Yeah, we've had that problem, too. Comes of pulling 'em out of dark dresser drawers. The Genius Light is a tiny, 2-3/8" x 1-3/16" x 3/4" thick oval with a pair of white battery powered LEDs inside, operated by a magnetic switch. Mount the self-adhesive light and the self-adhesive 1/2" x 3/16" x 3/8" plated magnet within 1/2" (ignore the 1" directions) of each other on opposing surfaces in a drawer, door-frame, cabinet, or fuse box, wherever you need a little light without any wiring. Ooh! How Bright Your Stairs Are!
Don't curse the darkness, add a little visibility to the stairs or anything else that you need to see in the dark, like low beams or doorframes. Our each is Jobar's 4-pack of smooth, light-green, glow-in-the-dark rubber stair treads with self-adhesive strips around the perimeter. Each tread is 15-3/4" long x 6-3/4" deep x 1/16" thick. The adhesibility isn't all it could be, so you might want to add a touch of glue (and skip the on-carpet application that the picture shows). These also slice up easily for smaller applications.
