Cell Phone LCDs
These would be take-outs from cell phones, if they had ever gotten into any. As it is, these LCDs are new, and relative unknowns. One LCD measures 1-1/2" x 1" x 1/16" thick and has connection pads that run along one of the long edges. The second LCD is 1-7/8" x 1-1/2" and has surface-mounted components and sundry IC and jumper sockets. It measures 2-1/8" x 1-5/8" x 5/32" overall. Sorry, no pin-out information available.

Sunprint® Kit
Sunprints (or cyanotypes, or photograms) are everyone's favorite photo-sensitivity experiment, from third-graders to graphic artists and fine artists. You pick: The Sunprinters are a dozen 3-15/16" square sheets of photosensitive paper, an acrylic backing sheet and instructions. The large Sunprint Kit has (15) sheets of 12" x 7-3/4" photosensitive paper plus a clear acrylic sheet of the same size. Great for classroom demonstrations, and can be used to make prints from photo negatives as well as interesting effects from opaque or translucent objects. All you add is sunshine and water.

Only over-the-hill spies use lemon juice. Your modern spooks carry these. Our each is a set of (2) ultraviolet writing instruments (one for you, one for your control), 5-3/8" long pens that write invisibly and have ultraviolet LEDs hidden in the caps to reveal the message. (They run on non-replaceable button-cell batteries.) Very similar to refillable "security pens" that sell for $10 apiece.

Clip Lead Set
Ten electrical leads with an alligator clip on each end. Each lead is about 20" long, not counting the 'gators. Vinyl coated 20-22 ga. wire with a vinyl cover over each clip. They come in an assortment of five colors with two leads in each color. The manufacturer calls them heavy duty but we would restrict them to the light currents and low voltages you will be using in your home experiments. Our each is a set of (10).

Poor Man's Luminaria
It's a little 2-1/2" square base with brushed-aluminum-look sides and a mirrored top, in the middle of which 3 colored LEDs flash on and off in individual and combination patterns. Makes a dandy base to show off crystal and cocktail glasses, but stick a large styrene coffee cup upside down over it and put it in a dark room and you have the world's cheapest multi-color light show. Line up a dozen or so on the front walk and you've got the world's first flashing multicolored luminaria show for party nights. You add (3) "AAA" batteries.

Super-Soft Cloths
"Micro Fiber Colths," is what the label actually says. We love surplus, especially when it means perfectly good merchandise from folks who can't spell so good. These cloths were marketed for car care, but you can use them to dust and polish pretty near anything, particularly delicate surfaces. Each pack has (1) 14" x 7" and (1) 14" square cloth. Both are as soft as baby blankets. And both feature "efficiency of Micro Fiber for perfect wiping."
