They're silver Mardi Gras beads, actually. Our each is a package of (3) 16" strings of 1/4" dia chrome-plastic beads, and if you have even the foggiest notion why these necklaces say "Speed Beads" on the package, please let us know.

This clever little bicycle or head lamp has (9) bright white LEDs flanked by a pair of red LEDs. Set it for one of (3) modes: single white LED; all (9); or just the (2) red flashers. Has a handlebar mount and an adjustable elastic head strap, and swivels up/down and left/right in either. The light measures 2-5/8" x 2-7/8" on a 1-3/4" x 1-5/8" bracket and we'll include (3) "AAA" batteries. It runs about 24 hours on a set of alkaline batteries. The perfect gift for the coal miner who moonlights in the Tour de France.

Never Weaken
Good advice-and true of this dynamo torch. Actually a (3) LED flashlight, but we think the manufacturer had the Brits in mind when he named it. Has (3) LEDs and a switch that lights (1) or all (3) of them. Runs on an internal, rechargeable lithium-ion battery that you crank up-(1) minute of winding provides (30) minutes of light. (We read it on the box.) And it's a palm-sized cutie that has a very Voyage-to-the-Bottom-of-the-Sea look to it. A must for blackouts!

Screeching Monkey Superhero!
Look! Up in the sky! It's a screeching flying monkey to the rescue! And at a screechingly low price. Our hero is an 11" long stuffed monkey in superhero togs (a cape, and maybe a mask or hood, depending on his sartorial whim). Put two fingers in the little pockets on his paws, pull his bungee arms back, and let him go. He'll fly a good 25 feet or more, issuing hideous monkey screeches all the while, faster than a flying nun and able to brighten up a day in the office in a single bound.

21st Century Walking Stick
Walking sticks have moved into the space age! This walker's/hiker's friend has futuristic features and the look of an inter-galactic weapon. The high-quality collapsible aluminum stick extends from a packable 27" to a full 56", and has a carbide tip with a rubber cover, a removable 2" dia disk to keep the stick from sinking into soft ground, and an internal shock absorber that can be turned on or off. At the top, a 5-LED flashlight with a 90° pivot is embedded in a molded-plastic cane-style handle to light your way. For mountain trekking, lengthen the stick, slip the adjustable canvas wrist strap over your hand, and clutch the stick by the padded foam section below the cane handle. Directions, diagrams, and 1100mm to 1350mm gradations are marked clearly on the 3-draw pole. We'll pick a black or anodized red, green, blue, silver or purple version for you.

Big UV-Blocking Visor
And it "will not be fallen in long time use even in jogging or outdoor sports exercise." We read it on the label. Pretty funny instructions, but it's actually a nice, super-big UV-blocking sun visor that has a padded, spring steel headband, and a ratcheting adjustable bill that flips all the way down like a welding mask if you're heading straight into a setting sun. The visor itself measures 8" wide around the curve x 6-3/4" tall. Comes with an adjustable 20" neck cord that you can add, if you're the type that is always losing your sun visor. The headband and trim are black canvas, and don't forget to peel off the protective film.

This clever little artist's brush holder/cleaner will keep those oil or watercolor brushes standing up (or down) straight with their little heads under water or paint thinner, clean and un-bent until you need them. A 4" dia x 2" deep aluminum cup is topped by a 6" tall U-shaped handle with a brush-holding spring across the top. Inside the cup is a mesh screen (with its own handle) for to clean the paint off and let it settle to the bottom, away from the bristles. The handle is removable for storage or travel.

Fun On The Fridge
Even as you read this, our office refrigerator is playing all by itself. Yours could, too, if you had this extremely cool set of automatic working-gear fridge magnets. Very instructive for budding engineers, just plain fun to watch, and, we assume, amusing for the ice box itself.
