You can start with our single aluminum tuning fork, 2-tined and 7-1/2" long. It vibrates at 256 hz, and is labeled "C". Or you can order the set that has (8) forks and a mallet with a rubber-tipped plastic head. The forks are labeled low-C to high-C and come in a fitted, latched wooden box. Unfortunately, C.J., who has perfect pitch, tells us that his pitch is more perfect than most of the tuning forks. He also says you can file the tips, tuning them to an electronic keyboard until they're perfect - and we think there's a certain cachet to telling people you tuned the forks yourself. But they are perfect, if you're using them for things like teaching principles of sound or driving the chihuahua crazy.

Scope Your Stethos!!
Stethos is Greek for chest. Indeed you can scope your stethos with this stethoscope, or your friend's or your dog's. But it works equally well for picking up any sound being transmitted through a solid medium. Listen to the air flowing through the heating ducts, the water in the pipes, the sounds of machinery, the termites munching on the floor joists!! The color does vary so we will select from what's currently available. We've had blue, teal, red, black, burgandy, green and purple, but there may be other colors yet to be seen! A great discovery device whether for biology or other pursuits. Not of professional quality, but not just a toy.

Ready Or Not Skeleton
This skeleton is actually used in medical and other schools for teaching. The bones are plastic, but other than that it's as realistic and anatomically correct as they come. The ready-to-use skeleton is mounted with a 360° swivel at the pelvis from a heavy-duty metal rod on a stand base with castors. It has a skull with a removable section, hinged jaw and (2) removable teeth; plastic zippered dust cover; and stainless steel wire, brackets and wing nut assembly for long life. It's articulated at all joints except the spine, so you can demonstrate flexion/extension, or merely pose it in a debonair posture. Size: 5' 6" tall. Weight: 23 lbs

This sinister device seems at first glance to be an innocent ping-pong ball. Touch both of the metal strips on the weighted bottom, however, and a circuit closes, making the ball flash red and moan eerie electronic sounds. Can be used to illustrate the idea of an electric circuit to children-show how electricity can flow through a chain of people holding hands, or that a little dampness can improve conductivity, et cetera. They're gray rubber stoppers, 3/4" dia at the top, threaded at the bottom to fit 5/8" (16mm) ID bottles. They're 7/8" long OA, with a threaded portion 7/16" long. Which doesn't matter a whole lot if you're using them for their most obvious use, which is to glue them to your neck for the world's absolutely best Frankenstein costume!

Glow-in-the-dark plastic skeleton, about 1 ft. tall. That is the end result. What you get is a box of bones that you snap together to create the final product. Which is kind of fun. Or of course you can leave some or all of them disassembled to create a sense of havoc. We're not going to claim it is anatomically correct, or educational. But you do need to figure out that feet don't grow from shoulders and thigh bones do not connect to jaw bones. Maybe 5 minutes of fun!! And the finished product is one of our better little Halloween guys.
