T-5.5 lamp
Itty bitty 1/4 W lamp with a 3/16" screw base. 1/2" long overall it needs 160ma @ 2.5 V. It has a clear glass envelope that collimates the light at the end for greater intensity when viewed end on.

Lampless Lava
Clear acrylic sealed tube, 3-1/8" dia x 8" tall, divided into two equal chambers. The dividing wall has a hole in the center, and the tube has a quantity of viscous violet goo (glycerin?) in it that fills one chamber about 3/4 full. Stand the tube on end with the full chamber up, and over a 10 minute period the goo will ooze from the upper to the lower chamber, blowing bubbles and dribbling droplets in the process, all in slow motion. The action is somewhat reminiscent of a lava lamp, without the heat and light, and with a mixed air and goo chamber that yields much more interesting patterns. Mesmerizing, disgusting, fascinating, soothing. It comes in a variety of colors from which we will choose yours.

Magnif Lamp
Magnificent magnifier lamp! Great for hobby work, stamp or coin collecting, needlepoint, sewing and crafts, even reading if your eyes are "mature". The plastic "head" assembly has a 3.5" dia, 3 diopter magnifying lens and a socket with switch for an incandescent lamp (60 Watt max.) This is mounted on the end of an arm the other end of which clamps to the table top. The arm has (2) roughly 15" long sections and swivels at the clamp to allow precise positioning over your work. Un-Bunsen Burner
So you don't have a gas jet in the garage? You don't think Margie and Ted are old enough to handle the high temperatures of a Bunsen burner? Our alcohol lamps are the answer. They burn alcohol (available at the hardware store), and are hot enough to boil water, to soften glass tubing for bending, and to generate the chemical reactions generally called for in science projects. The lamp is 2-1/2" x 2-1/2" x 2-1/2" glass bowl with a wick assembly that brings the whole to a height of 4-1/2" and comes with a handy little metal lid/extinguisher.

Tiny Table Lamp
On tiny tables or the desktop, this lamp throws a nice puddle of light for its size. The 4-1/4" x 3" x 1-1/2" tall base supports an 8" long gooseneck with (14) bright white LEDs at the top. Silver-plastic and chrome, with a pushbutton switch on the base, it comes with (3) "AAA" batteries. We're putting ours on top of the dresser so maybe we'll finally be able to tell what color socks we're taking out of the top drawer, but it would make a nice little reading or camping lamp. Should give 15 hours of light with fresh batteries.

Tough Gear Motor
Small but durable. Measures 2-7/16" long x 1-5/16" dia. and has a 3/16" x 3/8" long flattened offset shaft. Runs between 6-12 VDC. At 12 VDC, it spins 7 rpm and draws 90mA with a 500mA stall current. Gearbox ratio is approx 400:1. Has (3) 3/32" mounting holes on the shaft face. Reversible.

This multi-position LED lamp stands 10" tall and functions as a desk lamp, hand-held flashlight, or hanging light, and runs for 20-plus hours on a single set of (3) alkaline D-cell batteries. Except this one's a lot newer, and from a former Soviet bloc country that no longer exists, which is why we have it. But it's your basic mobile military lamp, in this case made for filling teeth in the field, but perfectly usable for any outdoor surgery, or for bunker-themed decorating. Stands on a 26" wide (at the feet) x 5-feet tall steel tripod with a 39" boom. Has an 8-foot-plus power cord with a Euro plug, a 7-1/2" x 4-1/4" x 2-1/2" power transformer box hanging off the boom, a 5-1/2" x 11-1/2" reflector/lamp housing with a 24V 150W halogen bulb (plus a spare), and a 34-foot power jumper with alligator clips for battery operation. The whole MASH-worthy magilla comes in a 27-1/2" x 14-1/2" x 11-1/2" reinforced wooden carrying case with handles and hasps. Will also take commercially available halogen bulbs.
