World Dimmers
Okay, polarizing filters for the literal minded. Each filter is a 20 mm dia x 2 mm think piece of glass with a couple of tiny slots in the edge. Each has 20% transmission by itself, which may not sound like much, but is about what you get through decent sunglasses. We are selling a pair so you can do experiments on transmission as you rotate one against the other to reduce the light getting through virtually to nothing. Or you can make some very cool granny sun glasses if that turns you on. The big guys get upwards of $7.00 per filter for these dudes!! Isn't surplus cool??

Illuminating Moment
A cool double pole double throw momentary rocker switch. The rocking switch lever is white plastic with a 24 V bulb in it. Wire it so the lamp is always on, flashes when pushed, is on except when pushed....whatever you want. The switch is rated for 3 amps @ 125 VAC and has solder terminals. 1" x 3/4" x 1-3/8" from the tip of the rocker to the base of the solder terminals at the back. Cory suggests applying it to your rocket launcher.

You’re a free spirit who’s been shopping at A.S.&S., and the Aura is from an Aura® Quick& Easy™ Flexible Lighting System! We have 3/8” dia light ropes in assorted colors, and in 9', 18' lengths. Staple the rope (on the designated staple tabs so you don’t damage the lights) around doors or windows, or under cabinets, bars, eaves, decks, docks or railings. Each 9- or 18-ft rope has a 6-ft power cord attached and is all ready to plug into a 120 VAC outlet. Ropes can be strung end to end, using the tee connector, splice connector, or 2-ft long jumper cord kit, up to a max of 150 running feet. If a bulb burns out, the others will stay lit, but you can order a complete repair kit to replace the offending 18” section with a new one. UL/CSA listed for indoor or outdoor use. Sorry are now out of ropes and only the repair kits and connectors remain.

So the concept was developed by NASA for the space program. You can use it to beef up the safety lighting on your bike. Or re-enact the Electric Horseman, or maybe just really dress up a jogging hat. It's a 30" long x 1/4" wide electroluminescent peel-and-stick strip like the government uses on airplanes. (Hey, that's what it says on the box.) It glows a light blue--in steady or flashing modes--when powered by (2) "AAA" batteries, which are not included because we can't do everything. The control box and battery case, 2" x 1-1/2" x 1" thick, is in the middle of the strip with mounting hardware for your bike. Or saddle.

Tiny Table Lamp
On tiny tables or the desktop, this lamp throws a nice puddle of light for its size. The 4-1/4" x 3" x 1-1/2" tall base supports an 8" long gooseneck with (14) bright white LEDs at the top. Silver-plastic and chrome, with a pushbutton switch on the base, it comes with (3) "AAA" batteries. We're putting ours on top of the dresser so maybe we'll finally be able to tell what color socks we're taking out of the top drawer, but it would make a nice little reading or camping lamp. Should give 15 hours of light with fresh batteries.

Never Weaken
Good advice-and true of this dynamo torch. Actually a (3) LED flashlight, but we think the manufacturer had the Brits in mind when he named it. Has (3) LEDs and a switch that lights (1) or all (3) of them. Runs on an internal, rechargeable lithium-ion battery that you crank up-(1) minute of winding provides (30) minutes of light. (We read it on the box.) And it's a palm-sized cutie that has a very Voyage-to-the-Bottom-of-the-Sea look to it. A must for blackouts!
