You can switch reading glasses on and off all day and keep track of them, or you can try this 21st–century answer to the pince–nez. The acrylic lenses are 1–1/16” dia and the glasses are 3–1/2” across. The lightweight, clear frames have a small handle in the lower right corner. You just hold them up to your eyes for the few seconds it takes to read what you need. They’re always at the ready, since you can use the tiny hole in the handle to attach them to your collar and let them dangle –– or because at this price, you can leave them in strategic places all over the house!

Wax Works
Is that a cup of little lemon jelly beans? And lime? Orange? Light red? A bowl of burgundy-colored baked bean candies? Definitely not, no matter how sweet they look! Those are colored, scented wax shapes to be melted down to create candles. Each color is packed in 4-oz bags of approx (100) pieces. Each package contains (3) bags, (3) different colors (our choice). Enticing shapes and colors. Keep the kids away from them!

Puzzling
One of our favorite games at A.S.&S. is "Guess Why This Is Surplus." In this case you get (3) different animal erasers, each a 4-part puzzle. The assorted 2" animals are bright colors, erase well, and fit together snugly. Our best guess? Maybe their oversized faces looked too goofy. Maybe animal activists protested rubbing their noses in everyone else's mistakes. Or maybe they just manufactured a gazillion too many. Sometimes it's hard to tell.

And pack light. This straw/bamboo/tatami (hard to tell, actually, but it's a natural fiber) mat is tightly woven but very flexible. Measures 70" x 24" when open, but folds on a center seam and rolls up into a 12" long x 3-1/2" tube. Tropical green or pink fabric back and binding.

It's clear that we can't describe all of these crystal-clear vinyl bags and totes. We've seen them from 5" x 2-1/2" x 5" deep to 11" x 2-1/2" x 9" deep and in half a dozen sizes in between; with white, black and no binding; with and without handles. Most have zippers, but a few don't. The vinyl in most is similar to what is used in a makeup bag. What they all have in common is that their high quality.
