It's stylish, it's handy, it has a slightly menacing look to it, and-truth be told-it's a lot of fun. It's a handheld butane torch, great for everyone: in the lab, under the hood, working with circuitry, melting copper and other metals; heck, a chef can even use it to flambé the dessert. 6-1/4" tall, 3-5/8" x 2-1/4" dia base, 3-5/8" long at the top, with a textured grip, push-button start with safety, and air adjustment to control the size of the flame. Easy to fill with butane, which you'll need to do 'cause no fuel is included.

"Timmy, son, take a look at my beautiful new magnifier - nice and hefty, 3-1/8" square glass that blows stuff up to 2X, and best of all, it's got bright white LEDs at all four corners. And a purty 5" long colored-plastic handle that bends up to 20 degrees so your old gramps doesn't have to." "But, Grampa, I thought magnifying glasses were always round." "Well, most of them are, Timmy, but not all of them. Not if you know where to shop. This one's got corners, because those newspaper stories that Grampa can't see are rectangular, not round. It just makes sense. Here, you push this button and watch it light up these obits and Grampa'll read 'em to you." Requires (2) AA batteries not included.

They're fightin' over this stuff in the office. The 3M" people call it "Bundling Wrap" and sell it for wrapping fishing rods, bundling tent stakes, cable, cords, like that, but we think it's got hundreds of applications. It's 1" wide forest green fabric ribbon/tape with very, very small hooks on the back and teensy loops on the fabric front. Cut off just the amount you'll need, wrap it around stuff, and it hangs on like it's in love. Very useful for gardening, crafts, organizing tools and briefcases, strapping pants to ankles on bike commutes, being the utilitarian ribbon on a gift wrapped for some handy guy, and lots more. You'll get a 9-foot spool, super-cheap, and we'd hide it if we were you.

Dwayne, guess what Momma gave me? It's this cute little orangey-smelling pen-shaped thing made by the Scotch® tape guys, only instead of writing, it takes away marker marks, and grease stains and such, and Momma says to me, "Shirley Sue, Honey," she says to me, "This is just the ticket to take off that sticky adhesive residue left on the pickup from all those 'Abandoned-Tow Away' stickers." And, Dwayne, it's over a third of an ounce, so there'll be plenty left to clean those lies about our Miranda off the front of her school locker, too. This surely is good stuff!
