Plastic Pipet
Each non-sterile transfer pipet measures 6-1/8" long, with a 1mm mouth, a 3/16" dia neck, and a 1/2" dia bulb. It holds 3.5ml and is graduated up to 1ml in .25ml increments. Made for a laboratory, of course, but equally useful in the kitchen, for portioning out that aceto balsamico tradizionale di Modena you paid $80 an ounce for.

Our most seductive tabletop walker...er, make that slitherer. The Sidewinder is a 5-1/4" long, plastic, triple-hinged wind-up snake that does indeed sidewind along surfaces. The fascinating darting (and forked) tongue action is just a bonus. We'll pick one of (6) assorted models and send it along, but we strongly recommend ordering several for lunch-hour snake races. Painless Pins
These are your classic safety pins, invented by the Mycenaean Greeks in the 14th Century BC, and still available today through AS&S. You'll get (100) in (3) sizes: (50) at 1-1/8" long, (25) at 1-1/4", and (25) at 1-1/2", all in a handy reusable plastic box, which even the Mycenaeans didn't have.

Plant-Free Plantarium
But very adaptable. This beautiful, heavy (3/16" thick) glass container is a 10" tall x 7" wide x 2" deep oval. Comes with a 1-1/4 lb bag of cream/tan/brown gravel and a tight-fitting plastic lid. What it doesn't come with is the plants listed and pictured on the package. Taken up to surplus heaven, we're guessing. So add your own plants (the neighbor's yard is full of them), cover it and make a terrarium. Add aquatic plants (the neighbor's pond is full of them), water and a goldfish and make a plantarium. Or just use it as a nice vase.

Super-Thick Candle Glass
This big, thick glass candle-keeper weighs a nearly untippable (2) pounds. Stands 3-3/8" tall x 4-3/16" dia with 1/2" thick walls, and a 2-1/2" deep x 2-3/8" dia interior. It's deep sea-blue with a grit-ified, pebbly exterior finish. Flat, polished ovals on two sides also let it stand at a nearly vertical angle, mimicking a mini-grotto on table top or aquarium bottom. It casts a lovely cerulean glow as light passes through it. The price is lovely, too, since many of them are pre-priced at $16.50.

A beautiful set of (18) natural-bristle artists brushes with 12" long wood handles. Our each is (9) flat and (9) round brushes, in sizes from #1 to #8, plus #10. They come in a roll-up, natural canvas case with a self-tie. We'd point out what a ridiculously low price this is, and what excellent quality, but then the guys in our purchasing department would get swollen heads and start demanding more than minimum wage. Protective Padding
To lab techs and the manufacturer (Kimtech Science from Kimberly-Clark®) these are "bench-top protectors," but we think they'll find a home anyplace where chemical-/water-proofing and light padding are required. Think bed pads, slip-proof dish-drying, diaper-changing pads, mildew-proof storage wrap, etc. You get (50) sheets, 19-1/2" x 18" x .009" thick with a teal-green polyethylene back and an absorbent face, or vice-versa, for an astoundingly low price.
