Our nylon fanny packs have zippered pockets and woven nylon belts approx 35” long. The gray and gold Spectra has (1) pocket a little larger than a disposable camera, (1) a little smaller than a pack of cigarettes, and (1) that will hold a stack of $100 bills and still have room for loose change. Very nice.

Gadgeteers, get out your charge card. This is an instrument you absolutely have to own. It reaches down below sofa cushions, inside piggy banks, into fish tanks, and past a gallbladder. Not simultaneously, of course. The slim stainless steel alligator forceps is 11" long OA, with a 2-1/2" angled handle and an 8-1/2" reach. It has small 5/8" long serrated jaws, delicate but tight, at the very tip! Better buy an extra. We guarantee people are going to "borrow" these if they see them.

You'll be able to see what you're doing! This 4" dia 1.5X lens (with a quarter-sized 3X lens embedded in it) sits about 4" above a table or desk. A shielded 7-watt candelabra bulb illuminates whatever is under the lens. The angles of the lens and the bulb are adjustable within the black wire-and-plastic frame. The 5-ft power cord has an in-line switch. Comes with an extra bulb.

I feel a red aura about you. You’re an extremely angry person. No, wait. You’re not angry. You’re a free spirit who’s been shopping at A.S.&S., and the Aura is from an Aura® Quick& Easy™ Flexible Lighting System! We have 3/8” dia light ropes in assorted colors, and in 9', 18' lengths. Staple the rope (on the designated staple tabs so you don’t damage the lights) around doors or windows, or under cabinets, bars, eaves, decks, docks or railings. Each 9- or 18-ft rope has a 6-ft power cord attached and is all ready to plug into a 120 VAC outlet. Ropes can be strung end to end, using the tee connector, splice connector, or 2-ft long jumper cord kit, up to a max of 150 running feet. If a bulb burns out, the others will stay lit, but you can order a complete repair kit to replace the offending 18” section with a new one. UL/CSA listed for indoor or outdoor use. Sorry are now out of ropes and only the repair kits and connectors remain.

Your choice: A 16" long metal paint mixer with a 3/8" shaft that fits right into a power drill. The bottom has a metal whirligig on it that does a fast, neat job mixing a gallon of paint. Or the smaller 10” mixer with a 3/16” shaft and a plastic whirligig, for pints of paint (or pints of Ramos gin fizz for your next Mardi Gras party). Simple, but effective. We have them because Pat bought one of the larger ones at (gasp!) another store, and liked it so much we had to find a supplier. And because we know that the new paint for your living room has been sitting in the closet, settling, for six months. Kismet.

Have the Time of your Life! Roll through a reel of 1960s microfilm of Time or Life magazines (that's what we've found so far). See page after page of crisp black-and-white ads, articles and photographs reduced to transparencies approx 3/4" x 5/8". The 1-3/8" wide 35mm film is on a 3-5/8" dia reel that fits on a square spindle keyed at one corner. Great fun with a little help from technology!

It just ain't gonna spill the beads. Or the fishhooks, or screws, or whatever you're storing in the 7-1/2" x 5" x 1-1/2" deep Store-in-It box. The translucent-plastic box with (1) 3-1/2" x 1-1/4" and (10) 1-3/4" x 1-1/2" compartments has a hinged lid that not only snaps shut, it has an extra little security latch. Rounded bottoms in the compartments make it easy to pluck out even the smallest items.

They start out as flat vinyl sheets, 11" x 10", but grab them by the handles on the sides and they become small shopping bags--like those string thingies--almost a foot deep and expandable. Toss them in your luggage, bring wine to dinner in them, or just pretend you're a French housewife. You'll get (3). Let us surprise you with translucent green, blue, neon pink, alarming orange, or some combination therof.

So the concept was developed by NASA for the space program. You can use it to beef up the safety lighting on your bike. Or re-enact the Electric Horseman, or maybe just really dress up a jogging hat. It's a 30" long x 1/4" wide electroluminescent peel-and-stick strip like the government uses on airplanes. (Hey, that's what it says on the box.) It glows a light blue--in steady or flashing modes--when powered by (2) "AAA" batteries, which are not included because we can't do everything. The control box and battery case, 2" x 1-1/2" x 1" thick, is in the middle of the strip with mounting hardware for your bike. Or saddle.

Stop it, that's illegal. But a nice Spanish peanut bush isn't. Twice the fun of a Chia Pet", which you can't even eat. Soak this in water, put the little plastic cup on your desk and it sprouts in a few days, grows six inches in three weeks, and for months if transplanted outdoors. Comes with germinating and transplanting instructions and makes one or more peanut plants. Jimmy Carter may have started like this. Or maybe not.
