A recent magazine on model railroading showed how to build a lighted marquee using fiber optics. Pretty neat!! The big boys get $1.60 to $1.90/per foot for this stuff!! Zillions of little bottles. Renegades from a pharmaceutical company, leftover unfilled from runs of exotic we-know-not-what. We have divided them into three basic shapes: A, Narrow Mouth, h (Narr Mo) have a 10mm dia. x 4mm long neck on top of a squarish shoulder, a 13mm dia. 3mm rim and a 7mm dia. opening; B, Wide Mouth, (Wide Mo) have a 16mm dia. x 4mm long neck on top of a squarish shoulder, a 19mm dia. x 3mm rim and a 12 or 13mm dia opening; C, Sloped Shoulder, (Sl Sh) have roughly 5-6mm long neck that tapers from the soft shoulder to 15mm dia, with a 19mm dia x 3mm rim and a 12-13mm dia. opening. Height refers to height overall, and dia. to the body dia. in the table below. Great items for the doll house (for kids old enough not to swallow them), to hold tiny wild flowers, for decorative art work, individual cruets, or just to hold and marvel at. All quite sturdy glass. In the real world, you would pay from $75 (smallest) to $225 (biggest) for 288 of these, which is the smallest quantity you could get!! Narrow mouth bottles take a #00 cork. Rainbow Glasses

Slide Show
Microscope glassware for examination of blood, pond water, mold, and other minutiae. All of the microscope slides are optically clear glass 26mm x 76mm (about 1" x 3"), between 1mm and 1.2mm thick. The well slides, of course, have a concave well to hold a drop of liquid. Our each is a package of (12) well slides, or a box of (72) standard slides with ground or beveled edges. Cover glasses are the smaller and very thin pieces of glass used as the top of the glass slide sandwich. They are often used temporarily by simply dropping them onto a drop of liquid to flatten and spread it and to minimize evaporation. More confident microscopists will cement them in place to permanently preserve a specimen. Our each is a package of (100) cover glasses 18 mm square, #1 thickness (0.13mm to 0.17mm). If you need one, you need both.

Clever, the way this little metal tool works while it keeps your fingers clean and safe. Squeeze and release the 4-1/2" long spring handle to open and close the 1-3/4" dia mesh ball. Fill the ball with jewelry, unwashed mineral samples, tea, fines herbs, whatever, then submerge it in jewelry cleaner, water, stew -- whichever seems to work best! Not intended for use at higher temperatures.

Sculpting Tools
AKA wax carvers. Each tool is about 6" long, stainless steel, with a shaped head on each end. Set "B" has two smaller arrow heads, two sort of like golf clubs and two more small (1/8"+) "spoons". The smaller sizes mean slightly sharper edges and points, but they are still basically dull. You certainly could use them to model in wax, or in clay, or to sculpt plaster of Paris. Handy and unusual.
