Pop one of these roughly 1-1/4" dia stones into the toe of a sock, smash it with a hammer, and be the first person ever to see your real-as-Nature-makes-it geode!! Ninety percent of them have the familiar beautiful white crystals inside. Formed by volcanic action, they are found all over the world, but ours are from Mexico. There is no way to tell from the outside if they have crystal centers, but we will send you two just to raise your odds, and we haven't had a dud yet in our stores!! Much much more fun and satisfaction than buying one already cracked.

Looking for a very, very, very long refrigerator magnet? At 15 ft, this 7/16" wide x 1/16" thick magnetic strip should just about go up one side, across the top, and down the other side. It's flexible, but can be broken if bent back against itself -- which means that small children can make craft magnets without having to cut the strip or themselves! We love it when a plan comes together!

Help for the mechanically challenged! This 6" long x 15/16" wide white-plastic hook fits over a shower or clothes rod up to 1-1/2" dia. You don't even have to take the rod down to put it on, because the two arms pull apart, then snap back together! Double hook on one side, single on the other. Simple.

A Lot Of Pull
Pick up this 1-3/4" x 7/8" x 3/8" ceramic pick-up magnet while we still have it. It's in a heavy metal housing and has a stationary metal hoop, about 1/2" i.d., on top. The manufacturer tells us the magnet will grab up to 30 lbs of metal, and while Pat wouldn't bet on anything over 20 lbs, it's still very strong. Especially if you're going to dangle it on the end of a cord to gather spilled nails or to fish your keys out of the lake/pond/sewer/drain!

We're not sure, but he's close to our hearts, since Gd is a magnetic metal of the rare-earth group, and you know how we love rare earth magnets. This excellent 38-1/2" x 26-3/4" poster of the Periodic Table lists the elemental information about Gd and 117 other elements, and includes mini-biographies of (7) scientists. The full-color poster is not laminated, but is a good quality coated paper, and a fascinating addition to any classroom.

For razors, toothbrushes, whatever-a little half-round cup with drain holes, and with suction cups to stick it to the tile. No English instructions, but we figure you can probably operate a suction cup without help. Besides, the French on the package translates as "the suction cup which moves your universe" and where else can you get your universe moved for half a buck? In, of course, French blue (bleu) translucent plastic.
