With faux-vintage signs pasted on the end panels. Think miniature versions of old wooden orange crates, finished with a dark stain. They're all 5-1/2" x 4-3/4" x 3" tall, in sets of (4), each set with (4) different designs. The Route 66 versions bear classic ads for the highway; the restaurant crates will have "Spike's Tavern," "Crawdad Hole," or similar labels; and the saloon crates carry old tavern signs ("Pay Toilet - 10 cents," or something similar). Good for gifties, party favors, centerpieces, like that.

If you had a 10-foot loaf of bread, these would be the only way to close the plastic bag. They're 17" long x 1/2" dia with flexible, plastic-sheathed carbon steel cores, and a layer of medical-grade foam that grips tight even below 32°F, because you might have to fix a hockey goal with them some day. Tie up big tools and cables, make ad hoc hooks, tie down outdoor furniture, organize sports equipment, make emergency repairs, or wrap sails and gear of all sorts (they float and they're bright yellow, so they're easy to see!). We liked the concept so well that we picked up some basic black ones that look and work just like them, but they're surplus, so we don't make any of the other claims. You pick a 2-pack of the giant yellow ties, or a 4-pack of the black ones.

Because he's jolly, Roger. Our non-irate pirates' ensign is 17" x 12" in nylon on a 2-foot stick. Roger may or may not be wearing a bandana on the flag we send you, but he's guaranteed to be grinning. Don't board someone else's vessel without one.

You say you need a little help with the window-washing and your significant other and children won't touch a squeegee with (or without) a 10-foot pole. Try this Swiffer®-like automatic window mop. The one-piece plastic Window Mop has a flat plate with a squeegee on it, and a 10-inch handle. A 10-3/8" x 3-7/8" pad is held on the plate by a hook-n-loop fastener. Pull the trigger and you release soap from a refillable reservoir through the pad. Wash the glass, turn the Window Mop over and squeegee it dry. Also has (4) rubberized slots to hold your own towel or cleaning cloth. It does a nice job, and it never complains.

With a bonus. Our each is a cute set of (6) translucent blue-plastic note tacks, about 5/8" x 1/2" ovals, plus a matching 1-1/4" hook with a neodymium magnet strong enough to hang your key ring, and maybe even a jacket, on. Equally suitable for fridge or file cabinet.

Or turn-off, depending. Screw this GE SmartHome" Touch Control Lamp Dimmer into the socket of a lamp, add a bulb, touch the lamp anywhere on its surface that's metal. Your standard lamp now has a 3-way dimmer! It has hi/med/low/off modes and takes standard incandescent bulbs up to 150W when facing up, 100W when facing down. The science experts here at the home office think this is because of heat dispersion, but some of us think it's because the electricity leaks out when the bulb is upside down. UL.

A cardinal after a gang fight. Also our blue-barreled, black-ink ballpoint pen with the red laser pointer built into the top. Measures 5-1/4" long and comes with (3) button cell batteries. Why the cheap price? These have logo misprints on the barrel. Don't stand up in the front of the room without it.
