You decide which end is up -- or in this case, which side is up -- when you buy this sturdy 30 1/2" x 12-1/2" x .053" turquoise-vinyl sheet. It's very reversible! For Disney fans, the top is covered with a flowery gloss-on-matte Lilo & Stitch design, with a 12-1/2" x 2-7/8" logo strip in the center. Buff the back side lightly (it picks up an L&S impression from being stacked) and you have a smooth, rich dark-turquoise vinyl. We voted to use it as a drawer or shelf liner, kid's play mat, DIY mouse pads, place mats….

Helping Hands... and Eyes
We just wish there was something, anything, to do around here that required this thing, on account of it's so cool. Our newest Helping Hand has a pair of alligator clips on swiveling arms, likewise a 2-1/4" dia x 1.5X magnifier plus an LED flashlight on a gooseneck. Everything swivels every way there is and tightens with little thumbscrews-and some of the configurations look like it's maybe alive, and from Venus. Jewelry makers? Diamond cutters? Forensic scientists? Maybe we'll start making small electronics, or tying flies.

Krazy Like a Foks
They call it the "Krazy Cutter" and it's going to make your life a whole bunch easier. It's a little 2-3/8" long x 3/16" thick teardrop-shaped paper slicer with a teensy rust- and dullness-proof ceramic blade that magically cuts through paper and plastic. Perfect for clipping newsprint, cutting wrapping paper, and opening deviously sealed packaging, including the heavy stuff if you press a bit. Even CD cases. The krazy part? Won't cut your fingers or anything else. You could run it right over your hand, press down and everything, and nothing. Really. We tried it on some expendable employees. You know what this means? You can take it on airplanes, which further means that when you get to the coast you'll actually be able to open all the packages full of the stuff you sent ahead.

Spoolettes Of Thread
Handy little mini-spools of thread for those repair jobs you haven't done because you haven't got a color match. Our each is (48) spools, 7/16" dia x 2-1/4" long, with approx 33 feet of thread on each, in very assorted colors including chartreuse, purple, teal and more, plus duplicates of all the usual suspects. Not for darning or embroidery.

Tiny Table Lamp
On tiny tables or the desktop, this lamp throws a nice puddle of light for its size. The 4-1/4" x 3" x 1-1/2" tall base supports an 8" long gooseneck with (14) bright white LEDs at the top. Silver-plastic and chrome, with a pushbutton switch on the base, it comes with (3) "AAA" batteries. We're putting ours on top of the dresser so maybe we'll finally be able to tell what color socks we're taking out of the top drawer, but it would make a nice little reading or camping lamp. Should give 15 hours of light with fresh batteries.

The Littlest Headlamp
Or book light. Or bike light. Or anyplace light. At 1-3/16" dia x 1-1/4" deep, it weighs approx nothing but has a very bright, single white LED with a collimating lens. It's in black plastic and mounted on a little spring clip which has an 11" long, adjustable elastic strap threaded through it. The light swivels 90° on the clip. Wear it around your head, on your wrist, arm or leg; clip it to a book, clipboard, a car or hat visor, the dog, a bike part, a tent flap. Why The Blank Face?
So you can decorate it, you crafty thing. This tan-colored papier mache mask is 8-3/8" tall x 5-3/8" wide at the eyes, pretty much the size of your average human face. Bird Yarns
Fowl stories? No. These are 1.76-oz (70-yard) skeins of 65% acrylic/35% nylon yarn that mimic the variegated colors on some of our favorite feathered friends. The extremely soft, downy Caron yarns are from the Feathers collection. Meadowlark has fine strands of black, blue, magenta, yellow, light green, and pink integrated throughout. Seagull is grey and black. Purple Finch is purple, of course, with orange, red, and yellow contributing to an overall rust color. Night Heron has purple, black and Marge Simpson blue fibers. Sandpiper is a soft off-white with beige highlights. All are bulky weight and made in Italy, and all come with instructions. Make sweaters for the birds that drop by the feeder, or knit your own aviary.

Forget watchmaking, you could write the "A Tale of Two Cities" on a piece of tortellini with this triple magnifier visor. Magnifies from 2.2X to 8X. Has a permanent 2.2X lens, a flip-down lens, and a flip-down loupe. Separate white LEDs at each temple, powered by (2) "AAA"s each which aren't included.
