Someone has entered your room! You're not in there to catch them, but the infrared light barrier you built has sounded the alarm! This Velleman MK120 mini kit includes all the components for both the 2" x 1-1/2" transmitter and 4" x 2" receiver (sizes approximate). The transmitter and receiver can be installed up to 12-1/2 ft apart. Breaking the infrared beam between them sets off an 85 dB alarm and lights an LED. Includes instructions, a schematic, 9-volt battery holders and adapter jacks (but not the solder, soldering gun, or the 2 batteries or adapters).

Start with this red, super-sturdy, steel alarm horn, 4-1/4" square x 2" deep. (Think school-hallway fire alarm systems.) Comes with an 8 OHM driver that can be driven by a 25V or 70V RMS line; a transformer with taps at 1/8, 1/4, 1/2, 1, 2, 4, or 8W (3dB increments); strobe light sync input; and external speaker jumpers. Blows a maximum 94bBA at 8W, and requires 3" back clearance. Note: Does not include siren circuitry or an amplifier. Made in the USA by Wheelock, Inc.
