89689 WIRE TIE ASST |
Very handy strap-like fastening devices with grooves or slots along their length and a clamping head at one end. Slip one around the things to be bundled, feed the free end through the clamp and pull tight. The grooves act like a ratchet in the clamp; the tighter you pull, the tighter it holds. They are a great non-rotting securing device for camping gear, sails, hanging signs, and, of course for bundling wires.

Tight. Really tight. The tiny hooks on the front of this small pad really glom onto the hooks of another pad like it -- or, with a little less vigor, onto the loop side of a hook-and-loop fastener, or onto carpeting. On the back of the 1" x 1" x 3/16" thick pad is a 1/2" x 5/16" dia shaft with angled flanges. Drive the black-plastic fastener/anchor into a wall, the bottom of a speaker, etc. -- it ain't coming out. Snap one of the other pads onto it, and you'll have to pry the pads apart. Tight. Really tight.

And it's a lot safer, too. Plus you feel all organized and virtuous. Gather up all those cables and wires inside this 5-foot long coil-style grey plastic cable wrap. Split on one side, it has a 1" inside diameter, but will expand to approx 1-1/2" to bundle a bunch of messy connections. Includes a cute little spring clamp to tame the wires while you get them inside.

37625 CABLE WRAP |
These super-useful stretchy straps start out 16" long and grab onto themselves with strong hook-and-loop closures on the ends. They form a 4" dia circle closed (with one revolution) and stretch to approx 9-10" dia. Great for tools, extension cords, camping equipment, and they make dandy bicycle clips when doubled around your ankle.

They're fightin' over this stuff in the office. The 3M" people call it "Bundling Wrap" and sell it for wrapping fishing rods, bundling tent stakes, cable, cords, like that, but we think it's got hundreds of applications. It's 1" wide forest green fabric ribbon/tape with very, very small hooks on the back and teensy loops on the fabric front. Cut off just the amount you'll need, wrap it around stuff, and it hangs on like it's in love. Very useful for gardening, crafts, organizing tools and briefcases, strapping pants to ankles on bike commutes, being the utilitarian ribbon on a gift wrapped for some handy guy, and lots more. You'll get a 9-foot spool, super-cheap, and we'd hide it if we were you.
