Ridgid Wrap
For papier mache modeling, of course. You get a 4"wide x 180" long roll of plaster-coated cloth, wet it, wrap it, and dry it until it's rigid. Finish it with paint or shellac or whatever. "Takes all finishes" the package trumpets. And it's non-toxic, so don't be bashful about rigid-wrapping yourself.

Metal Razor Saw
Precision metal saw of the type usually known as a razor saw. It has a 4-1/2" long x 1" deep blade with very fine teeth and reinforcing down the spine. Complete with plastic handle. Excellent for cutting small metal tubes and strips for hobby work.

Protective Lens
One of those clear plastic jobs that goes over an automotive light or some such. It provides a bit of focusing to strengthen the beam and some protection, but isn't really an optical element. This one is 2-7/8" sq. x 9/16" thick. Actually, the plastic is only about 1/8" thick, but there is a rim to the rear which gives it overall depth. Good protection for outdoor lights. Could be set in the outhouse door to admit distorted light. Or flip it over and serve nuts in it.

Closed-End Zippers
Some few are closed on one end, like pants zippers, but most are closed at both ends, like the zippers on seat cushions. Placebo Lens
Please don't pop these little glass DCX beauties in your mouth. Sure, they're shaped like zinc tablets or miniature communion wafers - thin, 14mm dia - but they'll do you no good inside, probably even cause you harm. Instead, utilize their 48.3mm focal lengths for all classroom projects, or combine these with other lenses to build binoculars, magnifiers, microscopes and telescopes.

Scaled Down Christmas

Shiny brass chain of the sash persuasion. Light duty and only 1 ft long, Purchasing says it is for industrial doll houses. Over here in Editorial, we believe less and less of what Purchasing tells us. So we suggest you use it to secure the chuck key to a tool, a roll of electric tape to your belt, or someone from Purchasing to his cubicle. (They are all quite puny.)

Make Molds For Free!
Just leave bread in a damp place. Or buy this stuff and make casts of solid objects, anything from faces and fingers to celery and crucifixes, with quick-setting Instamold. (We'll sell you 10 oz. of the Instamold compound, but you provide the water to mix it with.) Then fill the molds you've made with plaster, wax, or Permastone-yes, we sell Permastone too. It's an extremely strong casting medium with a clean white hue when set, waterproof and scratch resistant. Each can we sell has 1-3/4 lbs. of Permastone, to be mixed with water.

Little Glass Ampules
Terrific little glass bottles with looooong necks, in the shape called "Ampules". About half the total height is a standard cylindrical shape, at the top of this there is shoulder and above that, is an elongated tulip shaped neck. All are clear. They may have either a blue, gold or ground band on or below the "bulb" of the tulip. Bud vases for a single forgetmenot, decorative holders for colored sand or water, delicate vials for perfumes and essences, whatever the use, you just won't find them in stores. Rubber Stopper
Pat's been hanging around the medical supply house again. We now have a boatload of rubber stoppers, the kind you see on bottles of liquid medicine, crimped down with an aluminum collar. (Pat didn’t buy the aluminum collars.) The medicine is removed via a hypodermic needle through the stopper. The rubber stoppers come in blue, gray or orange. All three stoppers fit (13 mm) dia opening. The blue and gray are 3/4” across the top, 5/16” top to bottom. The orange are 9/16" across the top and 9/16" top to bottom. Why would you want them? Because they'll fit many of the small wide-mouth and slope-shouldered bottles in our Bottlemania listing. Pat's really good!
