A "One gizmo does all" marvel. It really works as a binocular, magnifier/linen tester, and has a signaling mirror, and compass all in a roughly 1-1/2" sq x 3-3/4" long package. The bino eyepieces and objectives fold against the body with the objectives doubling as magnifiers when used alone. The signaling mirror makes a good examining table for bugs and seeds etc and is conveniently located under one of the lenses. It should make a good "going off to camp" gift!

A Working Wonder
If we had a category just for customers who lust after Jules Verne inventions and elegant gadgetry, this would be in it. The wonderful brass sundial, a reproduction of an antique, is approx 3" dia x 11/16" thick overall, and actually works! A latitudinal gauge lets you tilt the engraved dial to the correct angle for your location, and a bubble and three leveling feet allow the 1-1/2" dia lock-down compass to point in the precise direction. And if you never took it out into the sunshine, you'd still love it for the look and logic of it.

Night Hike?
Go ahead. If you've got your glow-in-the-dark compass with you, you can find your way back without having to grope around trying to feel the moss on the north side of the trees. In brass, 2" dia x 1/2" thick, with a bezel with 2-degree increments and a 13/16" dia hook on top.

Orientation Made Easy
Add a compass (the original GPS) to your car and find out where you're headed. This one's 2-7/8" dia x 1-1/8" thick with a suction-cup attachment to mount on your windshield. Has a 1-1/2" square LCD display with a backlight. You add a pair of "AAA" batteries, then calibrate it by driving in a couple of circles until it figures our where you are vis-à-vis the magnetic north pole.
