Drivers In A Disk
The flying saucer meets the screwdriver in these compact driver sets. The larger one is a 2-7/8" dia x 1" thick gray-plastic case with a pocket clip, and holds #3 and #4 flathead, #2 and #3 Phillips, #1 and #2 pozi, and #2 and #3 hex bits, plus a 2-1/4" long driver that fits into a port in the housing for leverage. The smaller one is a 2-piece red-plastic disk, 2" dia x 5/8" thick, with a 1-1/4" chain and a slip ring. It unsnaps to release #3 and #4 flathead and #1 and #2 Phillips bits which fit into a hex port in the housing. At this price, they're perfect for replacement bits, glove compartment, desk drawer, etc. Do handle them carefully, because the cases break easily.

How Hot Is It?

From Sper Scientific, this pen-type infrared thermometer has a range of -27°F to 428°F with 0.5° resolution, or -33°C to 220°C with 0.2° resolution. Accurate ± 2.5% or 2.5°C, whichever is greater. Pocket-clippable at 6" long x 1/2" dia, it also has a white LED with a latching push on/push off switch. Includes (1) "AAA" battery for the LED and (2) button cell batteries for the thermometer. A good-looking brushed steel and aluminum, it comes in a brushed steel case. Useful from the lab to the kitchen, and fun, CJ says, for adults of all ages.

Dwarf Hammer
Even Grumpy would be happy if he had this very cool, stub-handled claw hammer to work with. It packs the punch of a 10-oz hammer, but is only 6" long overall, so it fits nicely in a sleepy cottage in the forest - or a studio apartment, emergency toolbox, or kitchen drawer. It's ideal for crafts, picture hanging and other dopey little jobs, but we wouldn't be bashful about using it for any hammer-type task. Drop-forged steel head a little (4-1/2" head to claw), but they gave it a heavy-duty frame, a contoured rubber grip, and a small magnet in the head for starting brads and nails. And we gave it a price that's nothing to sneezy at.

You Say Breadboad...
And the manufacturer, Elenco Electronics, says Bredblox, but what’s in a name? These are just nice little breadboards for electronic experiments. The Elenco Model 9830 measures 6-1/2" long x 2-1/8" wide x 5/16" thick with (2) power busses up both long edges and (63) double rows of more busses. The holes for components and jumper wires are approx .050" each and multiple boards can be interlocked via tabs and ports on the long edges. Now go invent something and get rich.
