Helping Hands... and Eyes
We just wish there was something, anything, to do around here that required this thing, on account of it's so cool. Our newest Helping Hand has a pair of alligator clips on swiveling arms, likewise a 2-1/4" dia x 1.5X magnifier plus an LED flashlight on a gooseneck. Everything swivels every way there is and tightens with little thumbscrews-and some of the configurations look like it's maybe alive, and from Venus. Jewelry makers? Diamond cutters? Forensic scientists? Maybe we'll start making small electronics, or tying flies.

Fabricate A Fountain
Create your own fontana, just like Bernini. Yours might be a tad smaller, but it's the effort that counts. You'll get a kit that includes a 3" tall 6 VDC submersible pump, a power cord with wall adapter and in-line switch, a 2-part resin rock-like pump cover (approx 5" dia x 4-1/8" tall), and a gasketed bushing for the power cord. Pump has a flow control, and includes instructions. You add a vessel, and maybe carve a nice marble statue of Poseidon.

Whole lot of flashing fun from Lite-Upzz™. You pick from our assortment of flashing flat designs, each plugged into a silver plastic base, 3" dia x 1-1/8" tall, with an on/off switch and a mode button that lets you cycle through (8) different light patterns. The flat lamps are all approx 3" to 4" tall. You pick from: a lovely beach/palm tree/flamingo scene; flashing star; pulsating heart; yin-yang sign; eyeball with "I Can See You" message; or the reversible rock-n-roll icon with a guitar on one side and Mick's lips on the other.

Gear Motor
Attention robotics boffins: Here's a nice, powerful 12-24VDC Mabuchi brush motor with a gearbox and pulley attached. At its nominal 24DC, it spins 12rpm, draws 50mA no load, and stalls a 750mA. Has a 3/4" long x 5/16" flattened shaft with a 4-5/8" dia x 5/16" wide (3/16" ID) single-sheave pulley attached, with a matching O-ring. The gearbox measures 2-3/4" x 3" x 9-1/16". The motor measures 1-1/16"dia x 1-5/8" long and comes with 7" leads and a 2-pin Molex connector.

Big Beanless Bags
Absolutely nothing says sophisticated like the timeless, classic, vinyl beanbag chair. And now you can combine interior design savvy with an homage to the sporting life. You pick from our giant baseball, white with authentic red faux-stitching or the huge hockey puck featuring crossed sticks and the legend: "The Original Extreme Sport." Both are 32" dia and both will need to be filled. We recommend styro peanuts, but if you want to go with actual beans, knock yourself out. You'll also need a little tape or hook-and-loop strips to seal the opening. Note that the baseball and puck chairs are cheaper than real baseballs and pucks.

Need A Hand With That?
You've come to the right place. Our illuminated, magnifying helping hand even has a stand to hold a soldering iron. On a 2-1/4" x 2-1/2" cast iron base with a small-parts well, it has a sliding arm on a ball-joint with (2) alligator clips that move on (2) axes. On a second rotating ball-joint arm is a generous 3-14" dia 2X magnifier with a 6X inset lens and a pair of white LEDS. More like (3) helping hands than (1).

Keeps Going & Going & Going…
This little battery-powered gear motor from Hankscraft is just screaming to be in a countertop display or a science fair. (It's great for a solar project!) Operates on 1.5 VDC and draws 40MA. Up to one month continuous motion on a single "D" battery. Runs 4 rpm clockwise, but can be reversed. The motor is attached directly to a "D" battery holder and the whole shebang stands 4-3/4" tall x 1-3/4" dia. The 3/4" x 1/8" dia flattened shaft has a 1/16" bore 1/8" from the end. Comes with mounting holes on stand-offs at the top of the motor, and a plastic 1-1/2" dia turntable that mates with the shaft.

World's Smallest Terrariums
Terraria? You decide. Then you pick a 2-1/2" tall plastic egg-shaped terrarium filled with "sprouting mixture" and the seeds for either a eucalyptus plant, a bright-blue lobelia (the favorite of faeries!), an asparagus fern, or an insect-eating hooded pitcher plant. Each sprouts in a week or two on a southern or eastern-facing windowsill and then can be moved into a larger terrarium, we're assured.
