We'd like every home in America to have a complete set of medical equipment. Then all this boring talk about national health care will be moot. Here's one to get you started: face masks and a tube. Each order gets you (1) adult- and (1) kid-sized mask (transparent green vinyl; covers mouth, nose and chin) and a corrugated plastic tube, 35" long, 7/8" OD, 3/4" ID, all in a plastic pouch. For papier mache modeling, of course. You get a 4"wide x 180" long roll of plaster-coated cloth, wet it, wrap it, and dry it until it's rigid. Finish it with paint or shellac or whatever. "Takes all finishes" the package trumpets. And it's non-toxic, so don't be bashful about rigid-wrapping yourself.

Sorry. I know it's way passe to mention Mrs. Marcos in any podiatric context, but we specialize in the passe. And the reference is too obvious to pass up. Regardless, we have a lot of hard plastic shoe lasts, used and a bit scuffed in places but very functional, perfect to keep your penny loafers or Chuck Taylors in shape while you reheel them or while they sit in the closet. The lasts come in blue, yellow, and a creamy white, and are hinged just before the heel. Sizes (which are marked on the last, in men's sizes) range from very small to very large, most seem to be in the 6 to 9 range. We'll surprise you with the color and the size. Call for bulk prices.

The sky and this tough acid resistant, flame retardant .035" thick vinyl. I always forget how many decimal places to shift for mils - just trust me, this is heavy duty. It has a screen printable gloss finish and is 39-1/2" x 24". Quick experiments here indicate that a Sharpie(tm) will "take" on this stuff, but most markers don't. It's just longing to be cut up into place mats, high chair mats, stencils, art mats, or your craft project.

Not a news story but a little aluminum shovel of the type hardware store people used to use to scoop nails out of a bin. The cut away cylindrical chamber is about 3-1/2" dia x 6" long. It has a 3" handle on the back and the whole thing is a single casting. Known in the business as a size #1, it should work nicely for ladling seed into the bird feeder, salt onto the driveway, or sand into piles at the beach.

Synthets, as you know, are fluffy white creatures with soft, polyfiber fur covering their woven fabric skin. We clubbed a whole flock of them, skinned them, and now offer you this fine fur in 2-1/4" wide strips, 6' long. (If this upsets the synthetic-rights movement, sorry, but a bargain's a bargain.) The fluffy strands stand about 3/4" high. For cruelty-free jacket trim, picture frames, luxurious facial tissue, and animal rights armbands.
