Zipseal plastic bag of the size gnomes use to store leftovers. 1" sq, 2" sq, 2" x 3" or 3" x 4" (our each come in bags of 100 count), clear polyethylene (the 2" x 3" 27906 has a white strip across one side, 36562 does not.). Store rings, small rock samples, biology parts, and model pieces. Great for cleaning up behind your Guinea pig when you take him for a walk.

Blacklights!!!
These wonderful lights that are all but invisible, but make whites “glow in the dark”!! Great for Halloween parties, dances, and stimulation of any phosphorescent materials. To avoid eye damage, please do not look directly at the light. This model comes complete with a lighting fixture, reflector, and 18” blacklight fluorescent tube. This fluorescent model has a 18 watt bulb and 6 ft cord for a standard 120 vac wall outlet with a switch. Great goolish fun! (Please note: The "bulb" types do not glow as well as the flourescent types)

Mylar Warmth
They have the look of something designed for the space program. They're mylar, a paper-thin shiny metallic sheet, that comes in handy when your car breaks down in winter, or when you're separated from your climbing group on the slopes of Mt. McKinley. Barring that, they're also a perfect material for a do-it-yourself cold-climate Halloween costume-near impossible to rip by hand, but cut easily with scissors. There's no padding, so they wouldn't be too comfy on your bed, but they sure are warm. They both come folded about the size of a wallet. The Blanket is 52" x 82", the Sleeping Bag is 34" x 84".

Mystery Boxes of stuff like what you see in the catalog. Maybe we had a little left but not enough to continue the listing. Maybe we only got a few as part of an odd lot. Maybe we just lost some, and just found them in our warehouse. You will get items which originally listed for at least $25.00 total in our catalog (or would have, if we had enough). You pick. The "electro-mechanical" box has things like motors, switches, hardware and components that are useful parts but want to be worked into something bigger. The "consumer" box has more ready-to-go type items, and things that don't have as technical a flavor, like bottles, toys, books and giant rubber bands. The fun is in the mystery and surprise. Perfect if you don't know what to give Aunt Maude and Uncle Ned, or if you can't decide how to bring your order up to the minimum. Every couple of months the contents will keep changing, so even if you have gotten a box before, feel free to order again! (Please note: Ordering multiple boxes at the same time will result in duplicate items.)

Diseased Posters
Even the person who has everything doesn't have full-color posters of ulcers and cancers! Then again, some people don't throw anything away. The 20" x 29" ulcer poster illustrates different types, while the 20" x 26" cancer poster illustrates different treatments. Both are from 1985. Great gift idea.

Sacre Bleu! This wonderful glass container from Canada has (5) different salad dressing recipes printed tastefully on it - in French. Figure out the ingredients, fill to the oil and vinegar levels indicated, and mix right in the bottle. It's 7" x 2-7/16" dia, has a slight pouring lip, and holds up to 10 oz. It will take a #9 rubber stopper or #22 cork - or seal the 1-1/2" ID mouth with your palm as you shake it. Very earthy. Very chic.

And teach a kid (8 and up) the basics of solar power. This excellent educational kit from Elenco comes with (9) 0.5VDC solar cells pre-wired in sets of (3) and mounted in a 5" x 4" x 7/16" black-plastic frame with screw terminals on the bottom. The kit includes a 1.5VDC motor with leads and a mount, a fan blade and (4) plastic discs from 5/8" dia to 2" dia for mounting on the motor shaft, a 1.5V incandescent bulb with leads, a sound module with leads, and graphic cards to mount on the discs. Comes with a 14-page instruction/experiment booklet, including info on increasing voltage and amperage, powering battery charges, radios, games, etc. Lots of science project potential. "Heuristic as all get-out," Jarvis said when he saw it.

Newspaper Sudoku not tough enough for you? You show-off. Try solving the Sudokube®, the evil spawn of a rogue Rubik's Cube® and a wayward Sudoku maiden. You twist away at the 2" x 2" black-and-white plastic cube, until each of the (6) sides displays digits 1 through 9. Extra credit if they're all in the right order with the numbers facing the same way. Only took us 12 minutes, but we used a hacksaw and some epoxy. Packaging says it's "For Ages Over 5." Right.
