Brass Buttons
You can tell military budgets have been cut when Russia starts selling us her uniform buttons. Our bushels of buttons are 1/2" to 1", mostly metal (brass, copper, silver), mostly Russian (with some Canadian, French, and others), all interesting and collectable. The shiny brass buttons with the stars are nice, if you don't mind a hammer and sickle. We'll pick out (10) for you, but can't promise which ones.

Peekaboo Canisters
Our aluminum canisters with clear glass pull–off lids are cool. When a set of a dozen contains lavender, red and 10 other colors, it’s cool to the max. The smallest canisters are aluminum–colored, a set of (20) 1–1/4” dia x 3/4” deep in a 6–1/2” x 5–1/4” x 7/8” lightweight aluminum box with a hinged lid. When the box is shut, a layer of foam padding inside the lid presses down on the canisters, keeping them securely closed. An ideal carrying case for paints, many different screws, or other sets of small items or quantities that must remain separate. If you need slightly larger canisters, and a cardboard box will work instead of a carrying case, try our colorful display, anodized tins in great colors come in a set of (12) 2” dia x 7/8” deep. Double Vision
A clever twin-lensed loupe that clips on eyeglasses for hands-free magnification. Each 1" dia, 3.3-power glass lens is at the end of a thin metal arm and swivels easily. The metal clip mechanism is about 1-1/2" long, each lens and arm about 2-1/2" long. Use a single lens, or line two up to double the loupe to a 6.6 power. Individually, each has a 3" working distance. When they're used together, it's 1-1/2".

A Working Wonder
If we had a category just for customers who lust after Jules Verne inventions and elegant gadgetry, this would be in it. The wonderful brass sundial, a reproduction of an antique, is approx 3" dia x 11/16" thick overall, and actually works! A latitudinal gauge lets you tilt the engraved dial to the correct angle for your location, and a bubble and three leveling feet allow the 1-1/2" dia lock-down compass to point in the precise direction. And if you never took it out into the sunshine, you'd still love it for the look and logic of it.

Helping Hands... and Eyes
We just wish there was something, anything, to do around here that required this thing, on account of it's so cool. Our newest Helping Hand has a pair of alligator clips on swiveling arms, likewise a 2-1/4" dia x 1.5X magnifier plus an LED flashlight on a gooseneck. Everything swivels every way there is and tightens with little thumbscrews-and some of the configurations look like it's maybe alive, and from Venus. Jewelry makers? Diamond cutters? Forensic scientists? Maybe we'll start making small electronics, or tying flies.

21st Century Walking Stick
Walking sticks have moved into the space age! This walker's/hiker's friend has futuristic features and the look of an inter-galactic weapon. The high-quality collapsible aluminum stick extends from a packable 27" to a full 56", and has a carbide tip with a rubber cover, a removable 2" dia disk to keep the stick from sinking into soft ground, and an internal shock absorber that can be turned on or off. At the top, a 5-LED flashlight with a 90° pivot is embedded in a molded-plastic cane-style handle to light your way. For mountain trekking, lengthen the stick, slip the adjustable canvas wrist strap over your hand, and clutch the stick by the padded foam section below the cane handle. It measures approx 11" tall x 8" wide x 4-1/2" deep with both snap and hook-and-loop closures, an adjustable shoulder/waist strap, a small outside pocket, and a belt loop on the back. Most are used and yours will be olive drab canvas or a rubberized nylon.

It's this cute little orangey-smelling pen-shaped thing made by the Scotch® tape guys, only instead of writing, it takes away marker marks, and grease stains and such, and Momma says to me, "Shirley Sue, Honey," she says to me, "This is just the ticket to take off that sticky adhesive residue left on the pickup from all those 'Abandoned-Tow Away' stickers." And, Dwayne, it's over a third of an ounce, so there'll be plenty left to clean those lies about our Miranda off the front of her school locker, too. This surely is good stuff!
