CJ is the resident musician at A.S.&S., and he can play this roll-up keyboard to a fare-thee-well. "It sounds great," he says, "and it doesn't get any more portable than this." About nine steps beyond nifty, this extremely cool electronic keyboard unrolls to 25-1/4" long x 5-1/4" but the 1/8"-thick rubber-membrane keyboard rolls up around the sound module to become the exact size of healthy ham and cheese sandwich. It has (26) different tones, (99) rhythms, (10) demo songs, a (3) octave range and it runs on (3) "AAA" batteries (Not included.). The business end has volume, power, function, start and stop controls, a built-in 1-3/4" speaker, headphone output and jacks for a 6VDC 300mA adapter 3.5mm plug (not included). And if you let the cat play on it, we bet you'll get Phillip Glass tunes.

The originals from the '50s bring $75 or so on Ebay, but you can get your own brand-new, latter-day cymbal-clanging primate in a little red hat for a fraction of that. A really cool mini drill set for your mini projects! The 7-1/4" long aluminum push drill for delicate work comes with (1) 1/16" and (1) 1/32" collet, and (20) bits that fit them. Our each is a bag of (48) 1-1/8" long x 1/4" dia, sickly-pale, squishy-soft rubber maggots - enough to infest your sister's bedroom from floor to ceiling to under the pillow with plenty left over to stick in her yogurt. Not that we'd ever do a thing like that. We like our sister. And she doesn't eat yogurt anyway.

21st Century Walking Stick
Walking sticks have moved into the space age! This walker's/hiker's friend has futuristic features and the look of an inter-galactic weapon. The high-quality collapsible aluminum stick extends from a packable 27" to a full 56", and has a carbide tip with a rubber cover, a removable 2" dia disk to keep the stick from sinking into soft ground, and an internal shock absorber that can be turned on or off. At the top, a 5-LED flashlight with a 90° pivot is embedded in a molded-plastic cane-style handle to light your way. For mountain trekking, lengthen the stick, slip the adjustable canvas wrist strap over your hand, and clutch the stick by the padded foam section below the cane handle. We Wuz Framed
And we did it ourselves with this little mat cutter and self-healing cutting mat. The dual-blade mat cutter has a comfy rubber handle and a removable bevel for clean 45° cuts. The blade adjusts to 9/16" deep and is 4-1/2" long OA, and replacement blades are standard stock in art supply stores. The hard rubber cutting mat is self-healing and no, we don't know how it does that. It's 11-3/4" x 8-3/4" x 1/8" thick, marked with 1/8" and 5mm increments and 1/2" squares, and lines for 45° and 60° cuts.
