Optic One
A "One gizmo does all" marvel. It really works as a binocular, magnifier/linen tester, and has a signaling mirror, and compass all in a roughly 1-1/2" sq x 3-3/4" long package. The bino eyepieces and objectives fold against the body with the objectives doubling as magnifiers when used alone. The signaling mirror makes a good examining table for bugs and seeds etc and is conveniently located under one of the lenses. It should make a good "going off to camp" gift!

Box O' Bones
Glow-in-the-dark plastic skeleton, about 1 ft. tall. That is the end result. What you get is a box of bones that you snap together to create the final product. Which is kind of fun. Or of course you can leave some or all of them disassembled to create a sense of havoc. We're not going to claim it is anatomically correct, or educational. But you do need to figure out that feet don't grow from shoulders and thigh bones do not connect to jaw bones. Maybe 5 minutes of fun!! And the finished product is one of our better little Halloween guys.

You've got to hand it to us, we have a finger on the pulse of the nation. At least on that of the concert-going teen part of the nation. For teens, our Finger Torch comes with (1) small and (1) large adjustable clear-plastic rings and (1) bright 1-1/4" x 3/4" x 3/8" snap-on LED (our choice of red, blue or green). Press for momentary light. Slide switch for constant light. Comes with (2) 3-volt lithium batteries already installed. Plain-looking in the light, but a dazzler at night! Order one for each finger!

Water Won't Wet It!
Amaze and delight your science class! Pour this red sand into water. As you scoop it out and it breaks through the surface of the water, you can see that the sand isn't wet. The spoon is wet. Your fingers, if you used them, are wet. The sand is dry! The hydrophobic granules created with trimethylhydroxysilane are always dry. They call it Space Sand". We would, too, if we had to write trimethylhydroxysilane very often. See the back of the 2-oz pack for information about it and suggestions for experiments.

Harry Potter’s Science Made Simple
Care to sneak a little scientific education in with all the Hogwart’s wizardry? For ages 8 and up, the Simple Physics kit explains some basics with a few props (balls and sticks) and a binder-ready guide to experiments that appear to be spells and magic. A Little Lightning
Despite parental advice, here's a good reason to sit in in a dark room and think small. This Plasma Storm isn't as large as a standard plasma ball, so not only is it much more affordable -- the effect is concentrated and startling. The black plastic base has a switch. Turn it on at which point the 3" dia plastic globe (think baseball size) is filled with blue stems that flare to pink, looking like dozens of electric flowers searching for a way out. Very cool. Comes with a 6-ft power cord with transformer.

Helping Hands... and Eyes
We just wish there was something, anything, to do around here that required this thing, on account of it's so cool. Our newest Helping Hand has a pair of alligator clips on swiveling arms, likewise a 2-1/4" dia x 1.5X magnifier plus an LED flashlight on a gooseneck. Everything swivels every way there is and tightens with little thumbscrews-and some of the configurations look like it's maybe alive, and from Venus. Jewelry makers? Diamond cutters? Forensic scientists? Maybe we'll start making small electronics, or tying flies.

You supply a plastic 1-liter bottle, we supply the plastic pipettes, wires, brass nuts and instructions, which, if you follow them carefully, will have you sending a diver to the bottom of the bottle trying to hook a sinker.
