Worried about your appliances during storms? Our small, three-prong plug-in transient surge protector 1-1/2" x 1-1/4" x 1" (with no female end) plugs into a single outlet, whether on an outlet strip or an outlet receptacle. It turns the entire receptacle into a surge protector, and protects your wiring from high-voltage spikes. It works by directing the surge through itself and away from your valuables. It has an indicator LED and is fuse protected but, again, has no outlets on it. A very handy item. UL listed.

Our little electronic voice-modulating kit is perfect for wolves imitating grandmothers as well as for robotic voices, party tricks, karaoke enhancement, or hiding from your mother when she calls. Medium level electronics knowledge and some soldering required (solder not included). Has a module with high, low, robot and vibrato modes, which means you too can sound like Whitney Houston, sort of. Includes an electronic microphone. You add a 9V battery and a small 4-ohm speaker (although it can be wired to use a line-out). Draws 300mA at 9VDC and is based on an HT8950 chip.

The correct answer is "I don't know; I've never toggled." If, however, you just want to turn something on and off, here's a choice of toggles for your switching delectation. The DPDT toggle is rated for up to 20A at 125VAC and has screw terminals below. Measures 1-1/4" x 1-3/4". No center-off position. The first DPST toggle is rated for 20A at 125VAC or 15A at 250VAC. Screw terminals on the bottom. Measures 1-5/16" x 3/4". The smaller DPST toggle is rated for up to 4A at 125VAC or 2A at 250VAC. Has 3/16" spade terminals on the bottom and measures 1" X 9/16". All the toggles come with switch-plates and mounting nuts.

Helping Hands... and Eyes
We just wish there was something, anything, to do around here that required this thing, on account of it's so cool. Our newest Helping Hand has a pair of alligator clips on swiveling arms, likewise a 2-1/4" dia x 1.5X magnifier plus an LED flashlight on a gooseneck. Everything swivels every way there is and tightens with little thumbscrews-and some of the configurations look like it's maybe alive, and from Venus. Jewelry makers? Diamond cutters? Forensic scientists? Maybe we'll start making small electronics, or tying flies.

You pick from 2" dia discs 1/4" or 3/8" thick; or from 2" OD x 1" ID rings that are 1/4" or 3/8" thick; or 3" OD x 2" ID rings that are 1/4" or 3/8" thick.
