Mighty Photo Cells
Designed for a high power and rather hostile environment (like a street light) these photo cells have values from 1.36 Mohms to 40 Mohms in the dark and from 50 Ohms to about 1000 Ohms in outdoor daylight. We pick what you get (2 different) in this range. 0.55" dia, they need a clear lens protecting cover if used outside.

Cool Tool
Winner of this week's "What IS That?" award. It's a watch crab, also called a spanner wrench, that's designed to remove the back from watches, lenses from telescopes, and other thin, flat components from whatever they're attached to. Heavy for its size, it's 1" x 2-3/4" x 3/8" thick, with sharp 1/4" prongs projecting from the edge. The prongs move from 2" to 7/16" apart as you spin the furled nut between them. An impressive tool to flash in front of your brother-in-law. If he doesn't read our catalog, he won't have a clue!

Take-Apart
Treadmills? Are those the large pieces of equipment, something like stationary bicycles, that people use as clothes racks? There can't be a lot of demand out there, then, for replacement displays if the originals have gone kaput. Looks like you're in luck, and we'll still have one of the 13" x 9-1/2" x 2-1/4" black-plastic control panel/displays left for you to take apart. The parts will include a 4-1/2" x 1-3/8" LCD, (6) touchpad buttons, and all the circuitry inside it.

Tiny NiCd
Break apart this tiny 3-pack of rechargeable NiCd batteries and you'll find that a single cell is just the right size to replace the exhausted battery in your radio-controlled micro-car. Together, they're 1-3/16" x 5/8" x 3/8", rated at 3.6 VDC, approx 100mAH. The pack's 5/8" leads terminate in a 3mm, 2-pin connector.
