Canvas Mat
Leftovers from some sort of game, these 19" sq pieces of canvas have one plain, natural side, and one side with a central home and (4) corner zones each marked by a colorful D&D style design. The dominant colors may be yellow, blue, red or white, our choice. Make up a game to use the design, flip it over and use it as a raw material, or just accept it as a protective table mat for the kids' work projects.

Test Tube Rack
Blue plastic test tube rack, about 8" long x 2-1/2" wide x 3-1/4" tall OA. It has a plate with (6) holes for full test tubes, the end two being 1-1/16" dia the others 3/4" dia. In front of this are (6) pegs to hold clean inverted test tubes. It of course can be used to hold tools, drying pasta or other, non-lab objects.

Metric Triple Beam Balance
Easy to use, and with 0.1 gram sensitivity the O'haus triple beam balance is perfect for measuring chemicals, biological specimens or the rutabaga for tonight's supper. Parallax free, the balance is damped by a pair of alnico magnets in the end post for friction free use. The three notched and tiered beams (100-500 grams, 10-100 grams, 0-10 grams) have center reading sliding poises. 610 gram capacity (standard) can be increased to 2610 grams by the use of attachment weights, available as an accessory. (Accessory weight kit includes (1)-500 gram and (2)-1000 gram weights.) Base is contoured to store weights and the balance is equipped to accept specific gravity Rod and Clamp. Plastic Graduates
The Graduate devotee knows the importance of plastic. To fill the need we offer these fine cylinders of the hard milky white polypropylene persuasion, to help you measure out your chemicals. With a large bases for stability and spouts for pouring, they are just like their glass cousins, except these are cheaper and not heat-resistant (each is marked 20° C ?!). The graduation increments and total volume are shown as increment/total in milliliters.

Scope Your Stethos!!
Stethos is Greek for chest. Indeed you can scope your stethos with this stethoscope, or your friend's or your dog's. But it works equally well for picking up any sound being transmitted through a solid medium. Listen to the air flowing through the heating ducts, the water in the pipes, the sounds of machinery, the termites munching on the floor joists!! The color does vary so we will select from what's currently available. We've had blue, teal, red, black, burgundy, green and purple, but there may be other colors yet to be seen! A great discovery device whether for biology or other pursuits. Not of professional quality, but not just a toy.

The Paragon
...is an inspection and dissection binocular microscope. The manufacturer says it's "perfect for industrial, agricultural, biological and educational uses." We heartily concur, which is why we're stocking this shiny new non-surplus item. "The Paragon" is 15" high, sturdy, easy to use, and has an acid and reagent resistant finish. At 10X and 30X magnification it's not for the weensiest microbes, of course, but if your work is on the scale of distinguishing weevil species, this is what you want. The 95mm dia stage plate reverses white to black for contrast, and the rack and pinion pole mount lets you view samples up to 17 cm in height. The binocular head is inclined for comfortable viewing, rotates 360°, Wide field 10X eyepieces adjust to 55 -75mm interpupillary distance. 1X and 3X objectives are turret-mounted. With the 1X objective, you get a 19mm field of view, with the 3X, a 9.5mm field. In either case the working distance is 95mm. Don't do entomology without it.

Box O' Bones
WARNING: CHOKING HAZARD-Small Parts. Not for children under 3 yrs.
Glow-in-the-dark plastic skeleton, about 1 ft. tall. That is the end result. What you get is a box of bones that you snap together to create the final product. Which is kind of fun. Or of course you can leave some or all of them disassembled to create a sense of havoc. We're not going to claim it is anatomically correct, or educational. But you do need to figure out that feet don't grow from shoulders and thigh bones do not connect to jaw bones. Maybe 5 minutes of fun!! And the finished product is one of our better little Halloween guys.

Measuring pH
This handheld pH meter from Hanna Instruments measures 0-14 pH to 0.01 resolution, accurate to +/- 0.2. Calibration screw for 7.01, and another for 4.01 or 10.01 pH. The unit is 6-3/4" X 2" X 15/16" OA, with a 4-digit 1-1/8" X 1/2" LCD readout, and a replaceable 4-1/8" long x 9mm dia probe that screws into the case. Comes with a tip cover for the probe and (2) button-cell batteries. Don't forget to order the 20mL foil packs of pH 4.01, 7.01 or 10.01 Buffer Solution, with a chart listing the specific pH of the solution at various temperatures. Made for laboratory or industrial use only, it has a tolerance of +/-0.01 pH at 77°F. Also from Hanna Instruments.
