Anodized aluminum channel, 2-5/8" long and just wide enough to hold a 5/8" wide card or tile which is up to about 1/16" thick. It has a spring clip in the channel to secure the card and a pair of "tie tacs" on the back to hold it on your bosom. Flaunt your name, "I Love Minot", "Addicted to Surplus" or whatever message you feel is appropriate in this age of self disclosure. We'll pick at least (2) different colors for you from among black, gold, red, purple, blue and silver.

Vegetable Hook
Large plastic hook, pointed on one end, blunt on the other. We have no idea what it was made for. Some suggest a meat hook in a pet food factory, which the shape supports. But the red or white plastic suggests not. Maybe it is for veggies? A loyal reader is convinced that it goes over a door and bananas are hung from it. Sounds good to us. The blunt end is shaped to hang over a square beam, 1-1/4" or so thick. The other pointy end, when the hook is so hung, will be 3" from the beam top, and will point out 3" and up @ about 15°. The whole is made of 3/8" dia plastic rod. You figure out what to do with it.

Good all purpose description of a plastic dinkus that will fit in the end of a square tube to seal the end, serve as a glider for a chair leg, act as a stool in a doll house, or be the basis for a dolls graduation mortar board. 1-7/8" dia. green, brown or orange hard plastic balls with a 1-1/4" ID x 1-1/2" deep hole on one side. Use them as slippery chair feet, as knobs on the ends of levers or tops of canes or even as protective caps for sharp pole ends. The tapered inner veins will provide a tight friction fit. You get an assortment of colors.

The "consumer" box has more ready-to-go type items, and things that don't have as technical a flavor, like bottles, toys, books and giant rubber bands. The fun is in the mystery and surprise. Perfect if you don't know what to give Aunt Maude and Uncle Ned, or if you can't decide how to bring your order up to the minimum. Every couple of months the contents will keep changing, so even if you have gotten a box before, feel free to order again! Versatile Grommet
A rubber grommet, 7/8" dia x 11/16" thick, with a brass insert that forms a flange over one face and lines about 3/4" of the length of the 1/4" dia bore. Use it as a grommet, a shock mount, or both. With or without a brass wire hanger that is set under the insert flange and extends 1" to the side. The hanger is bent to hold a 1/4" dia wire.
