Litmus Paper
Chemically treated paper strips to test for acid or base (alkaline) solutions. Use the blue for acids, the red for bases. The more sophisticated pH test paper strip indicates pH from 1 (bright red) to 14 (dark brown). Values in between can be read by comparing with a color chart that comes with the strips. All have (100) strips of test paper per vial.

Chinex?
Rejoice, we have finally found a source of reasonably priced borosilicate lab glassware. This is the kind of glass in the trade marked Pyrex(tm) and Kimax(tm) labware. The stuff you can put right over the flame of the Bunsen burner, or directly onto the hot plate. This stuff is imported from China, and is considered student grade, which is good enough for anything but the most exotic applications. We have beakers, test tubes, graduated cylinders and flasks. Compare the prices below and you will see that they are around half the U.S. equivalent. Call us for larger quantity prices.

Zillions of little bottles. Renegades from a pharmaceutical company, leftover unfilled from runs of exotic we-know-not-what. We have divided them into three basic shapes: A, Narrow Mouth, h (Narr Mo) have a 10mm dia. x 4mm long neck on top of a squarish shoulder, a 13mm dia. 3mm rim and a 7mm dia. opening; B, Wide Mouth, (Wide Mo) have a 16mm dia. x 4mm long neck on top of a squarish shoulder, a 19mm dia. x 3mm rim and a 12 or 13mm dia opening; C, Sloped Shoulder, (Sl Sh) have roughly 5-6mm long neck that tapers from the soft shoulder to 15mm dia, with a 19mm dia x 3mm rim and a 12-13mm dia. opening. Height refers to height overall, and dia. to the body dia. in the table below. Great items for the doll house (for kids old enough not to swallow them), to hold tiny wild flowers, for decorative art work, individual cruets, or just to hold and marvel at. All quite sturdy glass. In the real world, you would pay from $75 (smallest) to $225 (biggest) for 288 of these, which is the smallest quantity you could get!! Narrow mouth bottles take a #00 cork. Scope Your Stethos!!
Stethos is Greek for chest. Indeed you can scope your stethos with this stethoscope, or your friend's or your dog's. But it works equally well for picking up any sound being transmitted through a solid medium. Listen to the air flowing through the heating ducts, the water in the pipes, the sounds of machinery, the termites munching on the floor joists!! The color does vary so we will select from what's currently available. We've had blue, teal, red, black, burgundy, green and purple, but there may be other colors yet to be seen! A great discovery device whether for biology or other pursuits. Not of professional quality, but not just a toy.

Peekaboo Canisters
Our aluminum canisters with clear glass pull–off lids are cool. The smaller canisters are aluminum–colored, a set of (20) 1–1/4” dia x 3/4” deep in a 6–1/2” x 5–1/4” x 7/8” lightweight aluminum box with a hinged lid. When the box is shut, a layer of foam padding inside the lid presses down on the canisters, keeping them securely closed. If you need slightly larger canisters, and a cardboard box will work instead of a carrying case, try our colorful display of anodized tins. They are packaged in sets of (12) and come in great assorted colors and are 2” dia x 7/8” deep.
