Large plastic hook, pointed on one end, blunt on the other. We have no idea what it was made for. Some suggest a meat hook in a pet food factory, which the shape supports. But the red or white plastic suggests not. Maybe it is for veggies? A loyal reader is convinced that it goes over a door and bananas are hung from it. Sounds good to us. The blunt end is shaped to hang over a square beam, 1-1/4" or so thick. The other pointy end, when the hook is so hung, will be 3" from the beam top, and will point out 3" and up @ about 15°. The whole is made of 3/8" dia plastic rod. You figure out what to do with it.

We're using semantic obfuscation to crowd this plastic finger hook into a scientific category. It really doesn't cut it as science, but sure has been a popular novelty in our stores. An embedded 1/2" long wood screw will secure this flesh-colored finger to a rail, the side of a desk, a wall, or the back of a door. It then functions as an amusing hook for towels, robes, coats, tools, or attention. In fact the silly things seem to be beckoning, but we were afraid to call them "come hither hookers" for fear of misinterpretation. When installed, the fingernail, which might look a bit better with a little bright red polish, stands 2" from the mounting surface. Sold in fours because this importer doesn't deal in thumbs.

That's all these mega-clever picture hangers make in your drywall or paneling. Will even fit in narrow grout spaces on a tiled wall (might be wise to use a very small drill bit first). Just push the angled point of this J-shaped hook through the drywall and let the curve glide the 3-5/8" long back up against back of the wall. You're left with a small 1/2" x 3/8" hook that will hold up to 40 lbs. Tired of the picture? Just back the hook out and all you have is a hole the diameter of a wire. Call it the Renter's Friend. Our each is a package of (10).
