What’s left of a Kansas City cow after all the steaks are gone? Lots of leather! (Think buckskin, not biker jacket.) You choose from: 1) The one-piece Lace Leather Belly. Really more of a long half-belly, this solid piece of leather is between 2-1/2 and 3-1/2 sq feet. Ours was black, approx 10-1/2” wide x 53” long x 1/8” thick. 2) A pack of Leather Strips. Ours was a very assorted 2 lbs of strips and larger pieces of leather, 1/16” to 1/8” thick, in rust and brown. 3) The Farmer Bundle Repair Bag, 2 lbs of scraps in various colors. Ours contained a solid 12” x 8” black piece and a very large bundle of brown leather thongs 47” long x approx 1/8” square. Lots of variety, and lots of heavy leather for the price.

ASC Projector
This 16mm projector is chunky and heavy and big (57 lbs, about 16" x 12" x14" high OA) and shows some wear, but we fired the sucker up, and it worked like a charm! It's AV equipment from the U.S. Army Signal Corps, works on standard 120VAC household current, and has all the normal parts and pieces, including -- but not limited to -- an amplifier, take-up reel, 14-ft power cable, and well-used canvas cover. It also has the only three-pronged plug we ever saw that has a spring-loaded, fold-back ground so it will fit an ungrounded outlet. If you were an AV wonk in school, you'll love it!

Needleloft
Ostensibly to be used for needlepoint on plastic canvas, these 10-yard hanks of Needleloft® yarn and cord can be yours for whatever purpose you choose. We've uncovered nylon yarn in aqua and tan, and nylon metallic cording in orange/black, turquoise/silver, purple/silver, and green/gold -- but we're still unpacking. Whatever we find, your package of (4) will have at least (2) different colors.

The British Are Coming
From our friends at the Naval Training Equipment Center come these 2-1/2” x 3-1/2” black-on-white flash cards of U.S. and foreign ships and planes. The 2-deck set has (55) cards for ships and (55) for planes and copters. (The cards are from 1983, so those that are no longer current, are now collectible!) Each aircraft card shows silhouettes from different perspectives, with the wing and fuselage markings as well as info on size, speed and range. Each ship card shows the silhouette and a diagram of the weapons placement, and lists the countries, class, length and displacement for that ship. Interesting. Informative. Very cool looking, whether you’re interested in arms or in art!

No, no, not strongboxes -- Just tough, 17-gauge steel boxes for guys who keep breaking those woosy little plastic boxes when they close the toolbox lid…or step on them on the job site. These once held Rodman drill bits and a nibbler tool and they say so on the front. It has a removable foam inside and a removable plastic hanging loop at the top. Soft Touch
And easy to store. One of the better pick-up tools we've seen. Folds to just over 16" to store, but locks open at 30" with spring steel arms on an aluminum frame. It has soft, suction-cup-shaped grabbers and big, locking pistol grip. Pretty good gripping capacity too-maybe to 10 lbs or so. Get one for Mom, because at her age she can't reach the things she used to. And then get another one for yourself, because you'll be Mom's age before you know it.

That's what it says on the label, but we don't get it either. We think it's just good quality nylon cord at a bargain. We offer a package of (4) spools (with 1-1/2" long spindles), each with 25 feet of .015" thick, 27-lb test nylon cord. Don't feel obligated to retrieve bait with it.

We can't begin to describe these Fancy Findings -- this variety of small (an inch or two or three) bows, ribbons, loops, tassels, beads on ribbons, tassels on beads, little fabric flowers, lace thingies, like that, in dozens of colors. Glue 'em to barrettes, create a riot of ponytail holders, tack 'em on stuff, sew 'em together, take 'em apart-it's like a garment district remnant sale in a sack.
