Direct from the French army, these giant steel tent stakes are scary big. They're T-bars approx 2 feet long x 1-5/8", tapered at one end. A pair of 7/8" dia rods extends 2-3/4" from each side near the top. Large enough for circus tents, or driving through the heart of a really large robotic vampire.

You will survive, too, just like Gloria Gaynor, and in the woods, even. But only if you have this U.S. Army manual, cleverly titled: SURVIVAL, Department of the Army Field Manual FM21-76. It's 287 heavily illustrated pages of techniques for staying alive (add your own BeeGee jokes here) including orientation, food & cooking, fire- and shelter-making, rafts, animal, insect and plant recognition, and much more. This is the 1970 edition, but staying alive in the woods hasn't changed a whole lot since then. In soft-cover.

It's a G.I. canteen, except in this case the G. that issued the canteen was in Paris, so you're allowed to carry wine in it. Lightly used, made of aluminum in the same kidney-shape profile as the U.S. Army's pre-plastic version, but in a longer, 45 oz capacity instead of one quart. Same screw cap on a chain, slides into a similar integrated cup with fold-out handles which in turn fits into a 2-snap olive-drab pouch with a belt strap/pistol-belt hook. Measures 9" tall x 5" wide x approx 3" front to back.

This is actually called a rubber sink by the U.S. gummint, made for army field use, and it really is very useful. The olive-drab rubber, 9" dia x 4-1/2" deep, holds approx (1) gallon when full, but folds up completely. It's just a touch small to call a sink, we think, but it's a perfect portable dog waterer. (Also a large, very unattractive rain hat.) Complete with a tab to hang it from.

Everything's better on a stick, including illumination. You get (6) 2-packs of Glow Bars (that's a dozen points of light). Each is 3/8" dia x 4" long plus a plastic hanger, and has a 28" cord. We'll pick from the assorted colors, and may we suggest that for evening parties, you hang welcoming Glow Bars from the trees in the front yard, and plant artful arrangements of them in the back! Remember to remove the cord, or shorten it to wrist-size, if the children will be party to the party.
