Itty Bitty Zipseal
Zipseal plastic bag of the size gnomes use to store leftovers. 1" sq, 2" sq, 2" x 3" or 3" x 4" (our each come in bags of 100 count), clear polyethylene (the 2" x 3" 27906 has a white strip across one side, 36562 does not.). Store rings, small rock samples, biology parts, and model pieces. Great for cleaning up behind your Guinea pig when you take him for a walk.

Monster Prism
Optical grade unsilvered glass prism from Uncle's WWII tank periscopes. This one is 2-1/8" on the hypotenuse, 5-3/4" long, and 1-1/2" on each leg. They may come with small non-interfering chips or surface scratches. Great for classroom experiments or for art projects. We Wuz Framed
And we did it ourselves with this handy self-healing cutting mat. The hard rubber cutting mat is self-healing and no, we don't know how it does that. It's 11-3/4" x 8-3/4" x 1/8" thick, marked with 1/8" and 5mm increments and 1/2" squares, and lines for 45° and 60° cuts.

Lensatic Compass
How to shoot an azimuth for fun and profit: Get the ultimate direction finder, a lensatic compass. It has a 2-1/8" dia face marked in 5-degree increments, a 1/4" dia sight lens, 9/16" dia bubble level, and a 1-1/2" sight with crosshairs. Measures 3-1/4" x 2-1/2" x 1-1/8" when folded and comes with an 18" long cord and an olive drab belt pouch. Soft Touch
And easy to store. One of the better pick-up tools we've seen. Folds to just over 16" to store, but locks open at 30" with spring steel arms on an aluminum frame. It has soft, suction-cup-shaped grabbers and big, locking pistol grip. Pretty good gripping capacity too-maybe to 10 lbs or so. Get one for Mom, because at her age she can't reach the things she used to. And then get another one for yourself, because you'll be Mom's age before you know it.

Warm Feet, Warm Heart
Warm those chilly boots before you go out into the storm. These (2) electric warmers are 5-1/2" x 1-1/2" oval plastic pods with red glow-plugs in them. They're on a 77" cord, with a 39" cord between pods, and heat up to a toasty 100°F. The little heaters use 8.5 watts, 120V and have a reversible thermal fuse so your boots can be toasty, without being toast. (If you've already been out in the storm, don't use these if the insides of your boots are wet.)
