Who’s an old bag? Watch your mouth. What we have around here are young plastic bags with clear complexions and tight zipper closures. Be sure to stock up on all of them! Each of the bags are 2 mils. Our each is a bag of 100 bags. Just pick the size you like!

LCDs
These liquid crystal displays are raring to go. As soon as we can get Mary Ann to stop playing with them we'll pick out (5) assorted displays for you. (She keeps zapping them with static electricity to see what pops up. Mary Ann is easily amused.) Sizes range from 1-3/16" x 2" to a few as large as 5" x 10". They're unused. Some have pin leads, some have traces right on the wafer. Either way, they're a terrific bargain.

Plastic Beakers
Hard polypropylene beakers, milky white with a fine pouring spout. No good for flames, but great for low-temp lab applications. Also useful in the kitchen, the garage, or (the big one especially) as a plant watering can.

There aren't that many of these flexible chopping mats, and the versatile 15" x 12" x 0.024" thick mats are not only ideal for small kitchens where every inch counts, they're great for any kitchen, and for cookouts, camping and picnics. Our each is a set of (2) of the translucent Euro-look mats that protect countertops from sharp knives and fresh-from-the-oven cookies, and protect food from outdoor surfaces. They can be lifted and slightly folded to funnel chopped food neatly into a pot. They're dishwasher safe, and roll up for portage or storage.

Soldering Gun in a Jar
Wire glue-the solution when you can't find the soldering iron, don't want to bother, are out in the woods, don't quite trust a fifth-grader with a hot gun, can't reach the connection with both hands, whatever. This stuff conducts low voltage AC and DC circuits in a permanent bond and is easy to use. Our high-tech support group suggests that a toothpick is a good way to apply it. Cures overnight. Our each is a 0.3 oz/9ml jar.

Originally intended for hospital use (Think Nurse Cratchit. Think cold, wet sponge baths.), these 12” x 9–1/2” x 4–1/4” deep washbasins have rounded ends and flat lips. The #5 plastic is that wonderful institutional–yellow color. But they’re indestructible, short of melting them, and they nest when not in use. Use them to store your craft supplies, the kid’s action figures, the cat’s squeeze toys. Or take up nursing.

Squeeze 'n' Squirt
Inside the lab, it's a standard translucent-white, LDPE-plastic wash bottle, 500ml/16oz, measuring 2-3/4" dia x 6-3/4 tall with a screwcap and a right-angle, 5/16" dia nozzle. Outside the lab, it's so pleasing to squeeze and squirt with that some of us keep them in the kitchen.

Newspaper Sudoku not tough enough for you? You show-off. Try solving the Sudokube®, the evil spawn of a rogue Rubik's Cube® and a wayward Sudoku maiden. You twist away at the 2" x 2" black-and-white plastic cube, until each of the (6) sides displays digits 1 through 9. Extra credit if they're all in the right order with the numbers facing the same way. Only took us 12 minutes, but we used a hacksaw and some epoxy. Packaging says it's "For Ages Over 5." Right.

D-Day Crickets

KLEE-klik it says when you push the back of this little metal toy with the picture of a cricket on it. Sounds something like a real cricket, and just like the brass versions that U.S. paratroopers carried on D-Day for communicating in the hedgerows around Ste. Mare Eglise. Also just like the one Sister Mary Inviolata used to coordinate precision kneeling/standing exercises during our Confirmation practice, which was only slightly more organized than D-Day. Time was, these service bells were on every teacher's desk and the front desk of every hotel in the world. They're still a classically beautiful design, and they'll still bring folks running when you tap the little plunger on top. The chrome bell sits on a black enameled steel base and the whole thing is 2-3/4" dia x 1-7/8" tall.
