Real Corks!!
We have obtained a large number of real natural corks, mostly surplus with a few fill-ins bought commercially. They range across the popular sizes used in science labs to seal vessels (drill your own holes for glass tubing, etc) and to use as floats. Or just use them to seal bottles that don't have closures or cry out for a decorative seal.

Clay Carvers
Even the talented need tools. Our metal sculpting blades for clay, greenware or plaster range from 7-1/2" to 10-7/8" in length. They are straight, curved, smooth, serrated, blunt, pointed, hooked or any combination thereof, with a tool at each end and a light coating of oil to protect them from rust. We'll choose (3) different styles out of at least a dozen, so you'll get (6) different tips, all much heavier than the dental picks we sometimes recommend for clay carving. The price, since they would normally sell for $2.25 each, would tempt even a starving artist.

Stump Blender
Used for blending stumps into the landscape, or in fact any other pencil or charcoal mark on a drawing. It is a 1/2" dia x 6-1/2" long soft paper rod sharpened to a point on each end. It can be re-sharpened in a pencil sharpener. If you don't understand, you are not an artist and don't need one. But get one anyway and stump your friends in the next "Guess what I got!" contest.

Rotary Tool Set

The fitted plastic carrying case 12" x 8-1/2" x 3-1/2" contains not only the 120VAC-powered 8,000-30,000 rpm mini grinder, but a stand with a C-clamp to mount it on a bench or table, a 3-ft extension shaft, and a good assortment of bits, grinding stones, cut-off wheels, etc, including collets to fit 1/8" and 1/16" bits. Punch Set
Punch 1/8" to 1/2" holes in leather, balsa wood, etc., with this set of (9) steel punches. The punches, which come in a fitted black-plastic carrying case, are 1/2", 7/16", 25/64", 3/8", 5/16", 1/4", 3/16", 5/32" and 1/8". The ProHeater from Surebonder® is a lightweight hand-held heat gun made for curing embossing powders, shrink-wrapping gift baskets, drying ink and glues, shrinking plastic tubing, and similar tasks. The ProHeater is easier to handle and safer than heavy-duty commercial heat guns. It draws approx 350W, will heat to 400°F, and measures 8-3/4" long x 2" x 2" with a 6-foot cord. It has a recessed metal tip inside a 5/8" nozzle and a clip-on table stand. The duty cycle is 10 minutes with a 2-minute cool-down. UL listed.

A Working Wonder
If we had a category just for customers who lust after Jules Verne inventions and elegant gadgetry, this would be in it. The wonderful brass sundial, a reproduction of an antique, is approx 3" dia x 11/16" thick overall, and actually works! A latitudinal gauge lets you tilt the engraved dial to the correct angle for your location, and a bubble and three leveling feet allow the 1-1/2" dia lock-down compass to point in the precise direction. And if you never took it out into the sunshine, you'd still love it for the look and logic of it.

Helping Hands... and Eyes
We just wish there was something, anything, to do around here that required this thing, on account of it's so cool. Our newest Helping Hand has a pair of alligator clips on swiveling arms, likewise a 2-1/4" dia x 1.5X magnifier plus an LED flashlight on a gooseneck. Everything swivels every way there is and tightens with little thumbscrews-and some of the configurations look like it's maybe alive, and from Venus. Jewelry makers? Diamond cutters? Forensic scientists? Maybe we'll start making small electronics, or tying flies.
