Slide Boxing
The sport of the future? No, cork-lined polystyrene boxes for holding microscope slides, complete with numbered slots and inventory sheets on the lids. The boxes are 8-3/4" x 6-3/4" x 1-1/3" with hinged lids. They are stackable, and you might get them in a variety of colors.

Marble Slabettes

Ride Off Into the Sunset
It's hard to make a good exit if your feet keep slipping off the pedals. We have acquired (2) styles of replacement bike pedals, so you can depart in dignity. Cheap dignity. Flat-top pedals give each foot a 3-1/4" x 4-1/4" hard plastic platform on a shaft with 1/2" dia x 7/8" threaded end. Both pedals threaded counter-clockwise. These "excel" pedals may have been made for an exercise bike. Concave pedals are 1-3/16" thick and have slightly dished 2-5/16" x 4" faces. These come in lefts and rights (you'll get one of each) with 1/2" x 1/2" clockwise and counterclockwise threaded shafts.

Plastic safety goggles with a clear, fairly hard single pane front. The wrap around is clear The top and sides have dozens of little holes for ventilation and the whole is big enough to fit over regular glasses comfortably. An elastic strap holds them in place. Made in China.

Needle File Set
Miniature 5–1/2" steel needle files. They come in the usual assortment of flat, wedge, triangular, and round shapes, (10) in all. They seem to be pretty uniformly fine with none that we would call coarse. Made in China, they come in a vinyl carrying case that snaps shut. Not as classy as some of the sets we have seen in the $12.00 range, but perfectly serviceable for most applications. And at a third the price.

The assortment of bits includes cylinders, cones (points), balls and a couple of special shapes all in a variety of sizes. In the set of (20), each has 3/32" dia. shank and is about 2-3/4" long OA. In the set of (10), each has a 1/8" dia. shank and is about 1-3/4" long OA, with larger size bit heads. Both come in plastic cases. A craftsperson's delight!!
