Camera Tripod
A tripod with true portability -- It weighs only 2 lbs, the 4-ft aluminum legs (which can be locked down independently at any length) telescope to a convenient 22", and it slips easily into a zippered black-nylon quiver. The mast, which has a standard 1/4-20 camera mount and a built-in level, can be cranked up (literally) another 9-1/2". The manufacturer doesn't say how much weight the tripod will bear, but we'd keep it to under 10 lbs. Very nice for the money.

Monster Sheet Magnet
It's the biggest fridge magnet in the world, 47-3/4" long x 7-1/4" wide x .024" thick. It's red vinyl, with a corner lopped off 4" from one end and a 1/4" wide mottled white strip around the edges-and it's just crying to be written on with a marker, dry-erase or otherwise. Stick it on the door vertically and write a two-month grocery list on it. Cut it up and make hundreds of fridge magnets. No eye of newt (we've had a run on frog's blood and newt's eyes lately) but pretty much everything else you could want in prepared slides. The Bacteria series has (12) prepared bacteria slides for budding science majors to gaze upon microscopically. The bacteria include Streptococcus Pyogene, Bacillus Natto, Bacillus Subtilis, Escherichia Coli, Rhizobium Radicicola, Bacillus Mensentericus, Micrococcus Pyogenes, Mycrobacterium Ranae, bacteria in Buccal Carity, Bacterium Brasicae Fermentatae, and Vibrio Verolinensis. The Micro Org series is a package of (12) prepared microorganism slides including Hydrodictyon, Oscillatoria, Pinnularia, Euglena, Cymbella, Bacillus Natto, Clorella, Diatomaceous Earth, Cosmarium, Spirogyra in its vegetative state, Synedra, and Anabaena. All slides are labeled and in storage boxes.

Krazy Like a Foks
