We wouldn't try to capture 'gators with it, but this 4-ft x 6-ft black nylon, elastic (not-un-bungie-like) cargo net should trap anything else in the back of the pickup, van or kids' bedrooms. Stretches to about 6' x 9', with openings that are 7" square, stretching to maybe a foot, and 16 carabiner-style plastic hooks. Or just hang a couple on a wall for a nice Spiderman effect.

Almost certainly military, but its original purpose is lost. You get (30) feet of 3/16" dia brownish rope with (32) 3-1/4" long papoose-shaped steel wire loops affixed every 10" along (24) feet of it. Could have been to hang equipment between trees, make a bivouac shower stall, harness a huge sled-dog team, or hook-up skinny POWs for a long march. You might string camping lights or wet clothing on it, take a couple of dozen puppies for a walk, or make a really tough stringer for big fish.

Not fishnet stockings, but netting for actual fish, direct from the U.S. Army (you'd think Navy, wouldn't you?) in olive drab. It's a survival thing. You get a 10-foot x 5-foot net made of 3/4" squares individually knotted from twisted cotton/nylon, so the net won't unravel if torn. Might have a slightly musty aroma (but definitely not fishy) that a little sunshine time will fix. Great for maritime-theme decoration, bible-camp plays (filled until breaking, walking-on-water background prop…) or, we suppose, fishing. And perfect if you want to go to a costume party as Poseidon.

Catch your own lizards and win valuable prizes. OK, we lied about the prizes, but lizards are their own reward. You get the Reptile Hunter's 3-foot dia nylon throwing net with a padded, weighted perimeter for catching lizards, frogs, younger brothers, whatever's crawling in your yard. Includes a guide with photos of (24) reptiles and an iron-on "Reptile Hunter" patch.
