Mount That Specimen
Cases for mounting butterflies, bugs, rocks, fossils or any other three dimensional collectibles. Known as Riker mounts, these are sturdy cardboard boxes 7/8" deep, with glass glued into the front cover for viewing. They are filled with a fairly firm, white, expanded, synthetic, cotton–like material. The cushiony filler holds the three–dimensional viewee in place without pins or glue. Very handy for the proud trophy hunter. Our smaller is 8” x 12” and the larger 12” x 16–1/2”.

A "One gizmo does all" marvel. It really works as a binocular, magnifier/linen tester, and has a signaling mirror, and compass all in a roughly 1-1/2" sq x 3-3/4" long package. The bino eyepieces and objectives fold against the body with the objectives doubling as magnifiers when used alone. The signaling mirror makes a good examining table for bugs and seeds etc and is conveniently located under one of the lenses. It should make a good "going off to camp" gift!

Perfect for a blue-plastic submarine, our blue-plastic periscope will let you see the destroyers following your bubbles, or, if you're stuck on land, let you look around corners. Our visual aid is 1-3/8" dia, telescopes from 14" long to 10", has a clutch to secure the length and a 1" dia port to look through. Handy for reverse snorkeling, too. (Just think about it, OK?)

Crystal Farming Made Easy
Grow your own, because it’s so much easier than crawling around caves. Educational, too. The Ruby kit lets you grow (6) “ruby and emerald crystals;” the Amethyst kit grows (6) different “amethyst and diamond with fluorite“ crystals; and the Citrine kit lets you grow (6) different “topaz and citrine” crystals. The kits grow single and cluster crystals, the largest being approx 6” dia. Each kit also comes with a geode-esque mold to grow one of each of its crystal types inside, and includes vessels, chemicals, molds, casting plaster, and a 48pp instruction manual. And no, they’re not real diamonds, amethysts, rubies, but they’re awfully nice crystals. For ages 12 and up.
