Rubber Stopper
Pat's been hanging around the medical supply house again. We now have a boatload of rubber stoppers, the kind you see on bottles of liquid medicine, crimped down with an aluminum collar. (Pat didn’t buy the aluminum collars.) The medicine is removed via a hypodermic needle through the stopper. The rubber stoppers come in blue, gray or orange. All three stoppers fit (13 mm) dia opening. The blue and gray are 3/4” across the top, 5/16” top to bottom. The orange are 9/16" across the top and 9/16" top to bottom. Why would you want them? Because they'll fit many of the small wide-mouth and slope-shouldered bottles in our Bottlemania listing. Pat's really good!

Adapting to AC-Surplus Transformations
There is an entire class of transformers that surplus dealers call "AC Adapters." What we really mean is transformers that plug directly into the wall (primary voltage 110 VAC), and via a cord and/or plug provide various levels of output current at variou s voltages. It is a rare buyer of surplus that gets the plug configuration he/she wants, and many get snipped off (plugs that is). They are handy power supplies, battery charging units, substitutes for batteries in toys and games, or for providing safe il lumination to models and displays. Be sure to note whether the output is AC or DC (Direct Current, like a battery) and whether it can provide enough current for your application. Unless otherwise noted, all are suitable for indoor use only. Stick with us and you'll get the hang of adapting to AC...and at much lower prices than your friendly appliance/game/computer/calculator shop asks. Unless otherwise noted, all adapters are for 115 volt AC primaries, and all have about 6 ft. cords. (MA=Milliamp) (A=Ampere) (VDC= Volts DC) (VAC= Volts AC).

You pick from our assortment of flashing flat designs, each plugged into a silver plastic base, 3" dia x 1-1/8" tall, with an on/off switch and a mode button that lets you cycle through (8) different light patterns. Extremely Itsy LEDs On A String
You get 35 (which is almost (3) dozen, after all) little bitsy beads of light on a 6-foot long, 2-strand copper wire. As small as incandescent grain-of-wheat lights, these LEDs are powered by (3) "AA" batteries in a 3-1/2" x 2" x 3/4" thick plastic battery pack. A single push-button switch controls off/slow blink/fast blink/steady on, to meet your most festive needs. You pick red, green or white. You also buy the batteries.

Don't Move!
Or the light will come on! Now your hallways at home can be just like a European hotel with our motion-sensitive LED light. No plug necessary, since it runs on (3) "AA" batteries (not included because we can't do everything, after all). Mounts via a 1/4" keyed screw hole, but double-sided tape would also work. Measures 2-3/8" sq x 1-1/2" thick and has (10) white LEDs in a white plastic housing. Lights up with motion approx 4 feet away.

Tchotchke Display Base
A great display base for those extra-special tchotchkes, usually glass or crystal, that benefit from oscillating red, yellow and blue LEDs flashing up from beneath them. This black-plastic base with Chippendale-ish feet is 3” square x approx 2” tall, with a 2” square top. The top is a clear-plastic grill with the lights and a diffraction sheet under it to give it an iridescent effect. You add (3) “AA” batteries.

Need To Vent?
The "Sunforce® Solar Vent 1000" is a low-power, solar-driven exhaust fan, ideal for places where wiring is a problem. Reversible, but not super gutsy, it's meant to move air slowly in or out over a long period of time. Exterior is 8-1/2" dia with a 4-1/4" dia solar cell. Interior section is 4-1/4" dia plus a 3/4" plastic gasket. The mounting unit itself is 3-3/8" thick overall and is made to mount through a 4-1/4" dia hole in a thin surface: glass, polycarbonate, plywood, metal. We're thinking campers, greenhouses, sheds, doghouses, robot suits and the like. Will also run on the replaceable internal NiMH battery.

Very-Small-Pole Lamp
This clamp-on "pole" light is for very small poles like canes, umbrella stems, pipes, tent poles or tools. It's a 2-3/4" dia x 1-1/8" thick donut, hinged to open and reveal a pair of spring-loaded clips that fit from 3/8" to 1" dia. (Ignore the surplus-generating "1-1/4 inch" on the package.) Throws bright light from (4) white LEDs to let you see where you're walking or light your work. The Hint-o-Matic says: "Put 'em on plungers to make picnic-table lamps or temporary garden/walkway lights for parties." Batteries included.

The base of this micro-fiber-optic light is a 1-5/8" high plastic cone in red, green or blue.
