2-Quart/4-Quart Sprayers
What a convenient applicator for pesticides, herbicides and all those other ’cides that need safe handling. The white–plastic (HDPE) bottles have 1–3/8” OD mouths and molded handles on the top. Mix right in the bottle, then note the contents in ballpoint or permanent marker. Each bottle has a 36” x 1/8” dia plastic tube fed through a hole in its screw cap. At the end of the tube is a trigger sprayer with an adjustable nozzle. Pull enough tubing through the cap to operate the sprayer comfortably. The wide 1/2 gal size is 9" x 5-1/4" x 3-3/4". All are fully gasketed. Not into chemical warfare? Use these with water as super cooling devices, or primo water pistols.

Mini Air Compressor
Nifty device that takes maxi air and squeezes it down into a mini condition. The device is roughly 6-1/2"" long x 6" tall x 4" wide. It has a 10 ft. cord that plugs into an auto lighter socket: i.e. it runs on 12VDC @ 10 amps. Air output is via a 12" hose with a variety of valve adapters for tires, soccer balls, rubber rafts, and just dusting off the environment. Complete with a 0-250 psi gauge. Which should be plenty of pressure to explode a weak bike tire or flimsy beach ball, so please be careful!

Peltier Heat Pump
High tech comes to Am Sci & Surp!! It is here in the form of a Peltier junction, a thermo-electric device that translates electric power into heat, and perversely, into cool. Apply current @ 3-12 VDC to the gizmo and it extracts thermal energy from one face, thereby cooling it. The heat is dumped onto the other face, thereby heating it. Please note: you must use a heat sink on the hot side or the junction will fry itself, since it can quickly create a 65° C temperature differential in a no load situation. Stack two, or build a cascade to increase the thermal differential created. Or run it backwards. Apply heat or cold to the relevant face and produce a current. Amazing for science projects and experiments. Practical for coffee warmers, beer coolers and mini-refrigerator or warming oven applications. Comes with instructions. Large is 1-9/16" sq. x 3/16" thick.

That's what we say about this drill pump! Screw hoses to the threaded inlet and outlet valves (1" dia. standard garden hose size) and attach the 1/4" dia. shaft to your drill. Turn the shaft and it pumps for you. Great for aquariums, flood plains, waterbeds, maybe even a mechanical straw! Pump is 2-7/8" dia., 4-1/2" long with the in/out valves.

Convert large water jugs into dispensers. This manual bellows-type water pump has an 18" (in two 9" pieces) x 7/16" ID inlet tube, a 5-1/2" long bent spigot, and comes with a small bottle brush for cleaning. The bottom of the pump fits many water jugs, with a split-flange coupling that's approx 2-3/8 ID and tightens down for a near-airtight fit. The unit is 4-3/4" dia x 9-1/2" tall OA in gray and blue plastic.
