Clever Idea #763
This idea is for the birds. Literally. A green/black plastic perch, dish, and dispenser that you can screw onto an inverted plastic pop bottle to convert it into a bird feeder. Obviously, the bottle should have been emptied of pop and filled with seed. One of those "100 things to do with old coat hangers" ideas that really works!! Complete with instructions and bail to hang the completed feeder. Please note: this feeder will not attach properly to the new Coca-Cola low-profile bottles.

But never mind, this is a honey of an LED-illuminated, 8X magnifier with a 7/8" dia lens (ignore the 1-1/4" on the box) with an adjustable focus and a 10mm reticle marked in 1/10mm increments. Measures 1-13/16" tall x 2-7/16" wide OA with a 1-9/16" dia lens housing. Powered by (3) replaceable, and included, button-cell batteries.

Soft Touch
And easy to store. One of the better pick-up tools we've seen. Folds to just over 16" to store, but locks open at 30" with spring steel arms on an aluminum frame. It has soft, suction-cup-shaped grabbers and big, locking pistol grip. Pretty good gripping capacity too-maybe to 10 lbs or so. Get one for Mom, because at her age she can't reach the things she used to. And then get another one for yourself, because you'll be Mom's age before you know it.

This is a 5" x 4-1/2" black or blue nylon pouch with a clear vinyl pocket, large enough to hold/display a passport, driver's license or company ID. Disposabowls
Select-a-shape lightweight, disposable, cream-colored LDPE bowls! The 16-oz bowls with tight-fitting disposable lids are 2-3/8" deep and a bit over 5" dia at the top. Look like lidded cereal bowls and were, we think, intended to be used on deli trays, but we won't make a food-safe claim. We'll suggest that they make nice paint pots and craft containers, and are cheap enough to either recycle or toss out when you're done. The shallow LDPE bowls are 1-3/8" deep, also a bit over 5" dia at the top, hold 8 oz, and are also a good shape for holding paint or bits and pieces during art class. Buy both sizes, since the lids from the deep bowls also fit the shallow ones! Serendipity? We consider it clever planning.
